Not worth the line up,overpriced and over salted!! They're riding on a reputation of years gone by. Thirty years ago, I dined there...good food/good price! Today, $10 for a small smoked meat sandwich...no pickle...no butter...no nothing - total ripoff. As much as we do not...More

At one time, Schwartz was the best in town for smoked meat. Then came Celine Dion's restaurant called Nickels Grill & Bar to compete with Schwartz and served their own type of smoked meat. To this day, I must admit that it was different but...More

Can't come to Montreal without trying out the famous smoked meat ( pastrami) as they call it in the states at Schwartz's. Messy eat but soooo good and definitely worth it. They often have line ups but it's ok, you won't regret the experience. Enjoy!!

Funny - I've lived here all my life - and love smoked meat - and have eaten it at just about every other deli in Montreal. I just refuse to wait in line for food when I don't have to... The deli across the street...More

I have eaten here on numerous occasions and there isn't anything to say other than it is the best smoked meat in the world. We recently picked up a family sized portion of smoked meat (and rye bread) and brought it back home. One of...More

You have to go and experience this iconic restaurant! My husband and I aren't really big eaters so we split the smoked meat sandwich and an order of fries. It was a perfect lunch. We arrived on a Thursday at 11:45 and we were promptly...More

Grass fed, 45 day aged Alberta Canada beef is arguably the most delicious beef in North America! Sure, Schwartz's is known and famous for smoked meats and sandwiches but I ventured and tried their RIB EYE...UNBELIEVABLY delicious. The steak is tender, succulent and flavorful. I...More
