Worst meal in Canada. Food was flavorless, service was slow, restaurant was 80+ degrees. To top it all off, check out the insulting bite they brought to celebrate my parents 50th wedding anniversary. Go here if you want to be disappointed, eat overpriced and flavorless...food and be embarrassed for picking such a meh establishment.More
What a disappointment. We came here to celebrate a 50th wedding anniversary because they are “known for special occasions.” To begin with, the food was quite flavorless and extremely overpriced. The onion soup had almost no flavor and tasted like they put some onions in...broth. Their “specialty” lobster bisque wasn’t much better. The mushroom ravioli was quite good. From there, the dishes were completely underwhelming, especially at $50 price points. Then came the theatrics. The manager decided it best to berate our waitress in front of the entire dining room and basically right next to our table. The entire night we saw them bringing sparklers with plates of desserts to every table, but absolutely nothing to celebrate the 50th anniversary (the manager wished them a happy 50th as we walked in, so it’s not like he didn’t know). When we mentioned it to our server, the staff brought out an embarrassment of a square of cheesecake that was thrown on our table after we had finished all of our food. The only saving grace was our server, Genevieve, who was absolutely wonderful. Upon leaving, we also noticed how dirty the lobby was with fully formed spider webs above the front desk. Eat here at your own risk.More
My wife and I went out to dinner at Bonaparte and we ordered the tasters menu with the wine pairing. It was an excellent experience with great food, great atmosphere and excellent attentive service. I highly recommend for special occasions for those not on a...budget.More
We were looking for a nice restaurant for a family dinner. Our search landed on Bonaparte and we made reservations. We decided to walk, not realizing how far away it was.
Entering the building was calming and beautiful. We were seated in an elegant dining...room with chandeliers.
We were given 3 menus.....what choices! We settled on the prix fixe menu. We were rewarded with an excellent meal, beautifully plated and amazing tastes. We had steak, duck, lamb and 1 other main. Every course was delicious.
If you are in Montreal.....go!More
This restaurant never disappoints. We come here every year from the United States and we sit at the bar for dinner every time. The bartender, Maxim, is a master with craft cocktails. The food is always very good. We’ve always had a great experience here.
I cannot say enough about this restaurant! From the moment we entered, where we were greeted warmly, to the end of our time there, the experience was wonderful!
We were seated at lovely window table. Our server was superb! He was knowledgeable, attentive, and very...professional.
We had the tasting menu with wine pairings. Every item was delicious. The wine served with each dish was excellent.
We will definitely be back the next time that we are in Montreal.More
On a side street in old Montreal sits a fine dinning hideaway with a posh interior. Restaurant was very busy with a nice vibe. Ordered fois grois and the baked rack of Canadian lamb cooked medium rare. Wonderful. Wife ordered the parfait fois grais and...fresh catch of the day east coast cod. Simply outstanding. Chef understood fish.nice way to end our Montreal trip.More
Everything about this place was amazing. It wasn’t a meal, but an experience. The staff are professional masters and expertly trained. Very welcoming, hospitable and knowledgeable.
The food itself stole the show. My wife and I each had their tasting menu. 10 different dishes between...us from starters to desert and there wasn’t one that wasn’t phenomenal.
Rack of Lamb and my wife’s beef were cooked to perfection. And being a bit of a ‘foodie’ top marks to the chef. Everything was precise and expertly crafted, as well as amazingly delicious.More
