Best indian food by far in Montreal. Butter chicken and masala dosa are to die for. I come here as often as I physically can. and inexpensive! (they really should have a higher rating on this, much better than taj)

We were there with too much hunger! The soups were amazing, starters as well. With two main dishes for 3 persons, we were full and satisfied. I will definitely go back there!

We ordered a butter chicken thali and lamb curry thali. The butter chicken was all sauce with 3 chicken cubes, as you see in the photo. The peas and potatoes was also full of sauce. The meal was warm but not hot. The waitresses appeared stressed out, running around , one waitress ran into another waitress and spilled the beer... More

If you are looking for an Indian treat, this is the place! Well kept and organized, with a pleasant service by young Indian waitresses, led by the overactive Michele. A nicer atmosphere than its similar neighbours, this is authentic Indian food at its best, Plentiful, spicy as you need it, unsophisticated but truly enjoyable. Splendid value for money, The crowds... More

We discovered this place in 2011 and it's been a family favorite ever since! Food is amazing, service is exceptional, staff is friendly and organized, prices are budget friendly and the restaurant is visually very appealing! (kudos for the food presentation!) This place is very accommodating to those with nut allergies, as all their recipes are nut free! (Obviously still... More

We made the subway journey out to Acadie on a Friday evening to find queues at the various Indian restaurants in the area. We eventually found a table at Maison and enjoyed tasty and very reasonably-priced dinner. We had onion bhajis, a chicken based thali and a prawn jalfrezi - all for 27 CAD.

This place is always busy. Great food. Great ambiance. Always eat the same thing. Butter chicken never disappoint. And will try new things but do not like it too spicy. Will come back for sure . But will make to come when it's busy .Before 6PM

Korma lamb and Curry chocken are very good and tasty at this restaurant. The place get crowded very fast for dinner, considering it is in a small location with only about 10 tables.

Staying in Villeray-Saint-Michel-Parc-Extension

Neighbourhood Profile
The most ethnically diverse of all of Montreal's neighbourhoods, Villeray-Saint-Michel-Parc-Extension (or, Parc-Ex) stands at the city's centre, a hub for rail and metro traffic. Starting at the old station where the Canadian Pacific used to disembark, the brick-and-mortar surroundings of Parc-Ex have a homey feel, with leafy lawns and bicycle lanes seamlessly incorporated into the landscape. With prominent Greek and Spanish communities, Greektown includes the tastiest stops for brochettes and shawarma, and local bars entertain an excitable soccer fanbase. Jerry Park and Stade Uniprix stand ready for sports diehards to enjoy a game, while the the Complexe Environnemental Saint-Michel and Le Taz skate parks invite athletes to train and compete. Though built for the active and best by day, Cirque du Soleil, the TOHU center for arts, and the Le Boulevard shopping centre offer diversions for those who wish to stay late.
