We went as a couple for a quiet dinner together and service was pleasant, fast and efficient. Soup was excellent and entrée of shrimp was very tasty. We brought our own wine as this restaurant bas no licence to sell alcohol, and it was berger this way. Décor in the restaurant inslired by the owner's native village in vietnam. Very... More

We weren't planning on eating here but it started to rain so we decided to go inside for dinner. The place wasn't too busy so we chose to eat in the solarium in the back and listen to the rain. It's probably the nicest room in the restaurant with tropical plants. My husband ordered his favourite dish -- Général Tao... More

Decent basic viet food. Horrible screaming from birthday parties, maybe a Saturday night thing. Would not go back on week ends.

This is a lovely, modern little restaurant, serving excellent quality food in good sized portions. We went for the combination menus which included a soup as a started and a main course comprised of various items from the menu - and they were great and tasty. If you want alcohol, then bring your own, there are plenty of shops nearby.... More

Simply put: the food is excellent. The portions are appropriate. The acoustics of the restaurant will make you go deaf. Went to dinner with a friend, short of shouting, couldn't hear a word she said. The service is too quick. We were still workin on our appetizer and they brought us our entrée. The rushed service and terrible acoustics are... More

Went there on a cold winter night and the atmosphere was warm. The food was quite tasty and the portions generous. It is BYOB which helps to keep the cost down, and if not prepared, there is a depanneur across the street which sells wine.Look forward to going back again, and would recommend this restaurant for a good night out.

I've been there a few times (birthday party, small group of friends, with my girlfriend) and I'm always satisfied. Food is tasty (the grilled chicken and beef are exquisite!) and affordable, the menu has many options and the service is great!

If you don't have a reservation, be prepared to wait a bit. Not expensive, big portions, very good food. BYOW!! The only thing I don't like about this place is that the waiters are urging you to leave if you're done when people are still waiting for a table. They don't ask you to leave but keep looking at your... More

This is my local place to eat. Its BYOB, has good food, service and the food comes fast in very generous portions. Well worth a visit.

Staying in Le Plateau Mont-Royal

Neighbourhood Profile
Le Plateau Mont-Royal
Go native in Plateau Mont-Royal, where bespoke shopping, hip eateries, and wacky paint jobs attract locals and transplants alike, making it one of the city's most diverse and distinctly authentic experiences. A creative hub, Montreal's artistic elite pack the cafes along Rue Saint-Denis, where young painters and fashion designers draw inspiration from the playful murals and stately Victorian homes that dot the Plateau's side streets. Not a major sightseeing destination, a visit to Plateau Mont-Royal allows you to enjoy a local perspective, soaking in indie films, latte art, contemporary galleries, and the city's best bagels. A center of polyglot culture, Québécois accents mingle with shades of Portuguese, Greek, and Hebrew in the area's iconic Mile End district, where restaurants straddle chic designer boutiques, serving up chorizo and caldo verde. Friendliest to those on foot, it's a jungle of colourful awnings and sidewalk umbrellas, pedestrian walks and luxury shopping.
