Good prices on alcohol and food. Defiantly an Irish pub atmosphere inside, don't expect anything fancy. Food was pretty good- I got the lamb wrap and nachos. I was happy with it but not blown away. Service was quick and friendly.

The restaurant was clearly understaffed, also new untrained waitress. Perhaps another staff member would help with orders and quality of service. Maybe a one time thing, the beer was flat, the order was incorrect and the meat (we ordered the steak lunch) was fatty and grisly. Would bypass it in my future visits to Montreal.

If visiting Montreal and you can fit this place into your schedule you should, once inside you feel as though you are in a pub across the pond.

Very popular pub, particularly after the Canadiens play. Perfect location - avoids the large crowds of Crescent Street. Great service and a very fun place.

Hurley's gives off an Irish vibe and has one or two decent micros on tap - mostly MacAuslan - and some imported bottles-nothing special. It has a cosy feel but the patrons are what will turn you off. Mostly 18-25 plus the hockey crowd. Despite the size it is usually crowded most of the night. Parking is brutal with nothing... More

Our party of four was asked to give up our seats for a larger party of 15. We agreed because we were told there was another table for us to sit at. Ends up we were moved without another table to go to. We ended up standing in a doorway. The manager pretended to give a crap but eventually disappeared... More

Felt like we were back in Ireland. Good range of brews. Lamb stew and beef stew were delicious. Fish and chips also very good. Portions are very large and the prices are reasonable.

Staying in Centre-Ville (Downtown)

Neighbourhood Profile
Centre-Ville (Downtown)
Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by nightfall transforms from a business district into a youth-culture hotspot, with hip bars, clubs, and restaurants heavily peopled by students and young professionals. The once-seat of millionaire's 'Golden Square Mile', an incongruity of stately mansions and dapper brownstones sit between glass skyscrapers, creating a visually lush urban landscape. Beneath the sidewalks lay the Underground City, the world's largest below-ground mall, a labyrinth of over 1,500 shops and eateries that echo the profusion of cafes, gallerias, cinemas, and fashion outlets above. From the scholarly array at McGill University to the carousing crowds of Rue Crescent, visit Downtown to shop by day for what you'll wear there by night.
