Great Irish Pub, staff absolutely are the best. Would recommend anyone traveling to Montreal visit here.

They have great local music bands nearly every night of the week as well as comedy nights. I love going either solo or with friends, where the vibe is a friendly atmosphere "where everybody knows your name". On another note; wings and beer- just do...it!More

Chose to leave as the place as it had a dead vibe and filthy table undersides. Menu was questionable at best

The worst customer service experience I have ever had in my entire life… We were in Montreal for a work conference and decided to head to a bar/pub afterwards. We arrived at Hurleys around 10ish pm, we were a group of 12. The waitress/server that...was working the patio was not happy from the moment we got there (not sure why as we were a quiet/chill large group). We were sat at a small table and were short one chair because according to the waitress “there were no more chairs”. When I went to the bathroom inside, I noticed the inside the pub was empty and there were tons of chairs and random stools. I saw her inside and asked “hi can we borrow one of these stools”, she lost it on me saying “ are you kidding me? your group came here with no reservation, take your bill and go”. So I went back to my table and told my husband what had happened. My husband then went inside to speak to the manager, when he heard the waitress telling the bartender “the bitch outside is giving my a hard time over a chair”. The situation escalated and we ended up leaving the pub extremely upset all because she wouldn’t help us out with ONE CHAIR. Firstly, who makes a reservation for a pub on a Monday night at 10pm?? Secondly, why would you treat a large group that poorly on a Monday night, that’s clearly there to spend money and tip well??? Thirdly, what kind of establishment allows their customer service employees to treat customers like that? The entire team was visiting from different parts of the world and that the first impression they got of Montreal customer service. Unbelievable.More

Decided to drop by this bar for their free, locals and upcoming comedy show every Monday. It's donation-based so you can give as much as you want at the end of the show. The bartenders were attentive while we were at the tables and made...sure we were always with a pint. The comedians were new, so you may get some good ones and some okay ones. But overall, it was a fun experience seeing and learning about the locals and their experiences in Montreal. There are events nearly every day, so check it out. Can't say anything about the food.More

An Irish Pub with an Irish band that rocked the house (Kitchen party Band) The food was moderately priced and the beer and alcohol selection braod and varied. A Saturday night out turned into a great experience.

Absolutely terrible service and the barman was abusive and threatening. I would recommend everyone give this place a miss as you don’t go out to get abused.

This place came highly recommended, so we thought we should check it out. Really cool looking Irish pub when you walk in. It was busy, no problem...that's a good sign. I was patient, just wanted a couple of beers. When I noticed the bartender serve...some other people that had come after me, I politely asked if I could get a couple of pints! There were two bartenders, one older gentleman, other tender knows who he is (it was June 16)! He was completely rude and did this place a huge disservice! It's too bad. We walked out and moved on down the street. We didn't get to experience Hurley's Irish Pub!More

Stopped by for a couple beers and apps. There’s a bar both downstairs and upstairs. The top level has live music / comedy. We were on the lower level. Great atmosphere, cold beer and friendly bar tenders. We even heard about the ghost that haunts...the place.More

Visited Hurley's on February 11th. Had drinks and food (Nachos - not impressed). The trio Solstice were playing, not overly impressed, supposed to play at 9:30, never showed up until 9:20 (only 2 members), third member showed up about 20 minutes later. The lead singer...was not very loud, need to increase the volume on his mic, and his voice is not suited for Irish music, more suited for probably opera. They played songs, sang a verse or two, then went on an instrumental part for 2-3 minutes....sing more!!! They played for about 30 to 40 minutes, and then took a short break....45 minutes. When they came back for the next set, it was the same, sing a couple of verses and then musical for 3 to 4 minutes, played for another 40 minutes or so and then took another 40 minutes break. Also, they asked for requests and didn't play any from the audience. Didn't stick around for another "set"More

We went there for a drink in the late evening. We had a few pints of Guinness and a plate of Poutine which was excellent! Great service form the server who was exceptionally good. We were lucky enough to also have live music in the...bar which was really great. The bar was busy and yet still felt open. A really great place we thought.More

Went for drinks at night and waited an hour for drinks. The music they constantly played was some sort ok f power flute. Not every Irish don't has that much flute. Google kitchen party.

We stopped here for a drink while waiting for a table at a nearby restaurant and decided to stay. The corned beef sandwich was very good, and the salad also good and had a nice dressing. Our server recommended a oatmeal stout that was excellent.

Disgusting, rude and appalling!!! A supposed fun night out with friends turned out be a nightmare. On a busy Thursday night in Montreal city, a waiter and his manager manage to disgust a client to a level where the client just leaves the restaurant feeling...disrespected and extremely frustrated. Staff shortage at this establishment seems to force the waiter to work many tables at the same time. I feel for this waiter, the place is understaffed and it’s a busy night. But this does not justify his aggressive attitude, poor demeanor and overall lack of respect to the clientele. As I was raising my hand to signal the waiter that I was ready to make my order (15-20 mins of waiting on him) he shouted with the most sarcastic of tones: “I see you! That’s very annoying what you’re doing!” I did not hear him correctly as I didn’t expect that from him, my friends repeated to me what he said. I asked him when he approached: did you say that’s annoying? He replied with all the smugness in the world Yes. Aghast at this lack of hospitality I told him thank you for your time, I will not be ordering tonight. This made me feel very disappointed, and embarrassed in front of my friends. I asked for the manager, I instead got the “bald guy behind the bar” who did not listen to my side of the story and aggressively discredited my version of the story which is the dumbest thing to do as I was genuinely trying to give constructive criticism to help the restaurant self improve not to attack a waiter whom I know is having a rough night. I did not receive an apology but rather “leave we don’t care if you’re not enjoying your night here”. He assumed that I was the person out of line in the situation and didn’t offer to remedy the problem. Very poor managerial and communication skills. The understaffing is not my problem, so please advise your bar manager to become more friendlier and accommodating to customers needs and wants. Also please hire more waiters to accommodate the increasing number of patrons. Never have I ever experienced such a bad dining experience in my life.More

Hurley's Irish Pub has live music every night. This weekend's special festivities starts on Wed with a live performance from MUNDY at 9pm and continues every night with the Saint Patrick's parade on Sun.
