It looked authentic and promising, but was not what I had hoped, from the service through to the food.

This is often busy Italian restaurant with friendly service. We both had the dinner special with a good Italian bottle of wine. Starter choices were house salad or tortellini soup. Then among the main course choices, we selected the sea bass in white wine sauce, tomatoes & capers served with spaghetti. As desserts, we had cannoli siciliano and tiramisu. Along... More

Horrible food, does not even resemble Italian food. Extremely rude and unprofessional waiter. Asked us how we were going to pay in the middle of our meal and then told us to tip more when we actually paid.

We tried this restaurant on St. Denis in the Latin Quarter after a concert at Place des Arts. The veggie pizza was average but the waiter was fun trying to provide me with increasingly hot condiments. The menu offers over 60 kinds of pizza. He suggested how to best modify the extras on our veggie choice, which was appreciated. The... More

Nice environment. The food was ok. Ordered the shrimp and clam pizza and some other appetizers. Here's the unfavorable part - When I was paying for our bill with my Visa, I notice the tip portion was selected as 'F2 - 18%'. I selected '1 - 15%' instead. I entered my PIN and pass the machine back to the waiter.... More

Mediocre pizza and as place to old fashioned, I've been in so many Italian restaurants but this one looks like a kind of pizzeria from 1950, the owner is hilarious!

This is an Italian restaurant in the quaint Latin Quarter that serves up mediocre food (and that's being kind). The salad consisted of deteriorating romaine lettuce with a bland cheap vegetable oil as the dressing. The manicotti romagnola was a commercial pre-packaged product with a filling that resembled styrofoam. The overly sweet tomato sauce had mushrooms in it (???). Overpriced.... More

Just had my lunch right now. Luckily I didn't see the reviews here before going, otherwise I wouldn't have tried. I am surprised that there are so many bad reviews about it. I ordered green salad and lobster with spaghetti. The portion of salad is rather small. The lobster, oh, the lobster is something to die for. The dish was... More

We were very hungry. The food was very good. We had the spaghetti and a pizza which was good. Service was good. The bread was a little different.

This was my last stop in Montreal before I left the city. I felt I wasn't very welcomed because I didn't speak French. I ordered a dish, but I received a different one that has things I don't eat. I asked the waiter to take that dish back and give me what I ordered. I got what I asked for... More

Neighbourhood Profile
Quartier des Spectacles
The bar-none entertainment district for music and arts, Quartier des Spectacles is an interactive playground that delights the senses. It totals over 30 performance halls, with the vibrant Place des Festivals at its heart. The outdoor event space features glowing towers, glass edifices, and granite-lined bike paths, and hosts annual festivals, concerts, and comedy nights. The cinema, theatres, and exhibition centres are entwined with external art projects, exemplified at Montreal's Contemporary Art Museum and appearing along every walkway of the Promenade des Artistes in the form of sculpture and public works, from digitally-enhanced swingsets to glowing fountains. Design, performance, and alternative music come together here, a stone's throw from the lively Latin Quarter along Rue Saint-Denis, the quintessential after-party spot for dinner and a drink following a day of jazz, poetry and play.
