We just recently dined at Ile Flottante and enjoyed the 3 course service. Our dinner was 11/10...it was THAT GOOD. From the amuse-bouche to the spectacular dessert...every course was as beautifully presented, as it was delicious. This is by far the best restaurant in Montreal!

L ile flottante is definitely one of the best table in town. The concept is simple: you choose from a 3, 5 or 7 service menu and the chef does the rest... you dont get to know what you will eat on advance... but each...More

Coming in off this gritty street in an old formerly very poor area of the city, the atmosphere is immediately welcoming with clean and tasteful design. Tables are far enough apart for easy intimate conversation. Service is attentive but unhurried. But its the food that...More

You get to choose from a 3, 5 or 7 course meal and then they do the rest. It’s all very tasty. They change the menu quite often I heard but you’ll definitely walk away pleased. Service is extraordinary.

The choice is a three, five, or seven course menu. Very little explanation given prior to serving, which is fine by me. We had the five course. Wine pairings were excellent. Soup course was fabulous, as was the main course halibut. We left pleasantly full,...More

I suggest calling them. They are planning to close for expansion/ renovation, but have not decided on a date yet. So yes, they are definitely open -- some friends were there a couple of days ago.
