Of us went, 10 of us came away happy and very pleased with the concept, service and food
When they said darkness, they were not kidding. You see nothing. Not your table, your food, or your dining party. Takes a few minutes to get used to it but when you do, you truly get a feeling like
Nothing you have ever experienced.
Food was fantastic. The servers and waiters are all blind. Seriously. They are so professional, helpful and amazing at what they do.
They explain everything to you about the menu, and once your in, they make you very aware of where everything is , because you honestly don’t see a single thing.
You really have to experience this. Hundreds of thousands of people live like this 24/7. You will walk away with a new respect for those who spend their
Lives in darkness. Really amazing.
Not something I would do weekly or monthly but, I will definitely go back

Eating in 100% darkness is unique and exciting! The front of house staff were extremely friendly and helpful in explaining g the process. The waiter who brought us into the black dining room was attentive, friendly and professional.
The staff were accommodating in offering a vegetarian surprise starter. My companion ordered surprise dishes for each course. Both of us were impressed with the taste and quantity of the dishes. My only suggestion is that they could have been warmer. Other than that everything was perfect.
I would defiantly eat there again.

The experience is what you’re here for, so understand that and don’t expect great food. I’d recommend sticking to the two-course option (no dessert) and skipping cocktails (not great tasting and very weak). You can enjoy those elsewhere after. Also, don’t doubt that the darkness is absolute. You will not be able to see, period. This may freak you out if you’re claustrophobic, since you cannot see the exit or the way to it or your hand in front of your face, for that matter. The general consensus of our group of six was that we paid too much for what we got from a food & drink aspect, but that we found the overall experience really interesting and worth the meh food and drink. I’d recommend it.

We had been looking forward to this restaurant ever since booking our trip to Montreal and we were so glad that we went! There was a bit of apprehension about eating in complete darkness but any nerves soon disappeared once we were seated at our table.
We ordered our three courses in the entrance and Sophia appeared shortly afterwards to escort us through the darkness to our table. She then explained where everything was situated on the table.
The food itself was very good. Flavours felt so much more intense in the dark. Having a surprise dish was a little bit weird - we each had a surprise starter and whilst it was fun to guess what we were eating it felt much more enjoyable when we knew what the main course was. I think a combination of a surprise dish and an ordered dish will offer a good balance of fun
The restaurant area was in complete darkness. You can’t see your hand in front of your face. It takes a bit of settling into it but after a few moments you start to use your hands to know where your drink is etc.
Overall this was a great experience!

What an awesome experience this was! There's nothing like it anywhere in the World! The entire service is in the dark, and you really can't see anything! Every server working here is legally blind, and it's so impressive.
Our server Fe was such an all star all night. His story is so gut wrenching, but regardless, he was spirited, outgoing, and professional. The food was really good, and I highly recommend doing the "surprise" menu.
If you're looking to venture out and try something unique, then this is the place for you! The food, the atmosphere, and the outstanding customer service was just incredible! Two thumbs way up to Binky, Gabriel an our bartender Laryssa for being such amazing hosts!

I cannot believe (and I am sad) that more places like this do not exist. I had never heard of a place like this before. The entire concept alone (employees being blind) was mind blowing. Reservations were easy to make online. Once there, we were well greeted and explained how the process worked. It was such a unique experience, eating in pure darkness. You have the choice of choosing what you would like to eat or being surprised by the chef's selection. I had some of the BEST Tuna I have ever had... and I have no idea what it looks like! LOL
If you are in Montreal, I think you need to go at least once. I plan on going back.

What a completely unique and fun experience. The excellent and delicious food and the well-choreographed serving in complete darkness made for an exceptional evening. All the waiters are blind, but not the chef, LOL.
There is a one-star review here about a woman who was upset folks got mad when her phone flashed. You're supposed to check your phone in a locker, so I wonder why she made that mistake.
We had a problem with one table nearby, where everyone was laughing loudly and disrespectfully, but you can't manage other people. We had our share of laughing, too, but we kept an awareness others were nearby.
If you are at all interested, I highly recommend taking the leap and going. It was so much fun. To add to the experience, you can ask for surprise drinks and a surprise meal from a category of your choice. The drinks were amazing. Do it!

Sofia our waitress was in great care from start to finish! Really adorable!
We took starter, main course and dessert and it was really good especially starter and dessert 😃
To do at least once! Eating in the dark is disturbing at first but sincerely, you get used to it pretty quickly.

It is not just a fashionable concept but a new experience and a way to understand for a short moment what the visually impaired and blind experience.
It's certainly a little disturbing at first but you quickly get used to the darkness and everyone is adorable.
Our server was Dominique and he took great care to offer us a delicious time.
We chose the surprise menu, just to spice things up.
The menu was good and well prepared. However, certain dishes on the menu tempted me more.
We will come back with pleasure. I congratulate the creators of this great idea and all those who work hard on it. Well done.
PS: Please note that the room can be noisy on weekends. It seems that some people compensate for the darkness with a higher sound level.

That's a different world (for most of us) of complete darkness.
We all (3 person) were really glad we came here.
Food is ok-ish. 4 star at most. But food is not a point here

The concept is well thought out and delivered.
Our waiter, Fe, was great and guided us through the process really well.
The food was great, and the overall atmosphere was surprisingly fun. We liked being in the room in total darkness. The sound of other diners faded into the background and gave a peculiar sense of privacy you won’t find elsewhere.
I thoroughly recommend trying this. If I were to go again, I would try a mystery course to get the ‘full’ unique experience.
