Sympathetic ambiance, good food (but not excellent) served in good size portion. Price very reasonable. They can use the real pancetta for more flavour in the carbonara spaghetti.

I had diner at this restaurant with a group of friends. Food was very good and plentiful. They have a good choice of pizzas, pastas and meat dishes. It is Bring your own wine restaurant. Service was very good and pleasant. There are TV screens all over the place. We were on the second floor, first floor sounded a bit... More

We went in a group of 8 (with a reservation) on a Saturday night and the restaurant was packed!!! The service was quite slow but the food was fresh and full of flavor. The plates had generous portions because we all had a take home portion. There was a DJ and singer who weren't bad but it was pretty loud... More

We had a private reception on the second floor with 60 people and we had a great time. We wished we could of had the indoor veranda but our group was too large. Every body enjoyed the food and the fact that we could bring our own wine.

My friends and I wanted to watch the hockey game, but i our waitress was litteraly the worst I ever saw, she littelrly insulted us, and we really weren't that demanding, we also saw her yelling at other clients. The food was also disgusting, they even messed up my salad.

My husband and I, with our "apportez vous vin" in hand, wandered in to il Piatto Pieno. No reservation. They walked us through the restaurant to the back where the outdoor patio is located. Waiter opened and poured our wine. He was an interesting guy from Chile. Speaks Spanish, English, French and Italian. No waiting. Quite a few large tables... More

Food was average at best. Service was very slow (half an hour to order and another hour and a half to get the food). Loud music if you're sitting in the main dining room.

Service: We were a party of 6 and arrived at 7:00pm. We got our pizzas at 8:40. We informed the waiter that we had a show to attend and had to leave by 9pm. We thought that 2 hours to get a pizza would be enough, we were WRONG!!!! We also saw other tables getting served before us! It just... More

Staying in Rosemont-La Petite-Patrie

Neighbourhood Profile
Rosemont-La Petite-Patrie
Rosemont-La Petite-Patrie has one of Canada's most prominent Italian communities, with Little Italy concentrated along the convivial bends of Saint-Lawrence Boulevard. Known for its fantastic bars and authentic Italian fare, the domain includes the Jean-Talon Market, the largest public market in North America. Open year-round, sunny months see fruit and vegetable stalls set up outside the main chalet, while blustery weather draws crowds indoors to meat and cheese sellers, spices and truffles stalls, and for regional delicacies such as rare Charlevoix lamb. While the market dictates what's fresh for local restaurateurs, visitors can please more than their palates, taking in the Renaissance architecture and frescos of Madonna della Difesa, the picturesque Rue Saint-Rominique with its cheerful homes and splendid gardens, or the ornamented thoroughfare of Plaza Saint-Hubert.
