I went around 9:30 pm and based on my previous experience with the one in DT of Montreal I expected to have a warm food (if not hot) because they close at 10pm. but the beef shawarma was cold and the rice was too. even I gave the guy tip cause I wanted to be nice I really didn't enjoy... More

I usually go to the Amir in St-Jerome, but decided to go here since it's closer to my house. If you enjoy half of the food compared to St-Jerome, bland garlic potatoes, almost no chicken and 4 day old salad, then this is the place to go. The shistouk plate is one of the worst ones I've ever tried. Not... More

As you can gather from the more recent reviews it is no longer what it was famous for. They no longer deliver the same quality and especially the service is non-existent to say the least. It is dark and dingy, the service is pale and the food is nothing to write home about. We ate shawarmas at another place we... More

I ate here twice on a recent trip to Montreal, on the recommendation of some people I was working with. The restaurant is sort of low end, dated, very basic, but the food is good and quite tasty. Prices aren't bad, but perhaps a bit high. Service was acceptable. Some of the other reviews mention meat that isn't fresh, but... More

The meat is not fresh. The shawarma is days old. The staff don't want to work there and the owners are not very friendly. Potatoes are old and never well cooked. Salad portion is super small and not fresh. I would recommand resto du village wich is on principale street.

I have tried and tried to find a Chicken Shawarma that is as good as Amir's but haven't yet. The garlic potatoes also rock!!! It is sad because I don't live in Montreal and only get to enjoy this little piece of heaven periodically. ;-( Please, please open a store in Las Vegas!!!

Montreal has its share of middle eastern eatery. Most of them are excellent. This is not the case of this one. Portions are small, prices are high, cooking is so-so and mostly, service is rude and unfriendly.

This Amir as are most of the Amirs that i've had in Montreal is very very average. The restaurant has little ambience and the food mediocre.I usually have the falafel and it's never fresh and always bland so i add tons of spice. Their main benefit is that they tend to be open when all the other restaurants are closed.... More
