A very relax social place with a large choice of tasty poutines This place was recommended to us by young students and it appeared indeed to be a very attractive and relax place for young people. Place to eat/drink, read, socialize… each of us selected...a different poutine and the youngest one did not resist to take an additional one, so tasty they all were. Portions are large, service is fine and we were served rapidly; there were not many clients when we arrived at 2pm.More

The food is good, the owner was really nice and the restaurant has a unique touch to it. I would definitely recommend it!

As a person living with coeliac disease finding a fully gluten free poutine resteraunt with a dedicated fryer was difficult in Montreal. Hippi Poutine was able to fry the fries in a separate fryer on top of having gluten free gravy.

This place is a little rough around the edges but the Poutine was good and our server was friendly! Great for a casual lunch or afternoon snack.

A small, unassuming little restaurant with very good food. There’s seating inside and outdoors on a small but pleasant patio. I had the regular poutine. I was excellent. Lots of gravy and cheese curds. Nice size portion too. Quite frankly, the meal we had at...Hippi was much better than our meal at the famous La Banquise. Better atmosphere too since it was not so noise and crowded. I strongly recommend it.More

Terrible service Very tasty poutine Portions are small but poutine is very good (traditional and exotic) Service was terrible : empty restaurant but 40 minutes to order, had to ask for water a couple of times, unfriendly waitress who attended and served other people before...we could even order. Would still recommend the food.More

I found this restaurant after a long walking tour of Old Montreal and Little Burgundy. I boarded a train, got off at a random station and went looking for food. I found Hippi Poutine next to a park. I had to google the word poutine,...as I had never heard of it. I ordered one and it turned out to be delicious. Poutine is a dish of french fries or chips as we call it at home in South Africa, with cheese curds and topped with a gravy. According to Wikipedia it originated in Quebec.More

Walked in and was going to sit down to try some of the food, however once I asked use the bathroom prior to ordering was refused. On examining menu appeared delicious however most of the items are overpriced. Walked in - walked out. Skip it...unless your truly a hippy and need to support “ the cause”More
