Impeccable service - varied menu - flavors at the rendezvous - I would have added nice “sides” and or mouthfuls but all in all it was absolutely delicious. We asked for a food experience with oenological accompaniment (not on the menu) and that’s what we got. You can expect 400pp. but wow..

Everything was spectacular!
Let's begin with the staff. The host greeted the entire family making the initial experience very welcoming. After being seated by the host, the waitress brought the menu and wine list. The head waitress/administrator was very professional and knew a heck of a lot about wine, their taste, and region. Throughout the service, our waitress was very helpful in answering our questions, discussing specials, and being very friendly. Overall, the service was perfect.
Now let's talk about the interior. There is a very modern take on the restaurant's interior with modern chandeliers, wine wall, and bar. However, there are some small classic touches, such as a brick wall and wooden floors. I believe the interior fits the atmosphere of the restaurant and compliments it very well.
Lastly the food. For the appetizers we ordered: beef tataki, pani puri, tuna crudo, and crispy brussel sprouts. The beef tataki was beautifully presented with a very nice and soothing wasabi sauce. Pani puri ( duck tartare in a deep-fried shell) was very innovative and delicious. Pani puri ( almost like tuna carpaccio ) was well prepared with hints of spice making the dish balanced with the touches of coconut milk on the plate. Lastly, for the appetizers was crispy brussel sprouts in a very nice kimchi sauce and bonito flakes adding nice flavour. For the main course, we ordered: Rotelle, braised crispy pork belly, hanger steak, and veal short ribs. Rotelle ( pasta with mushroom and served with bone marrow) was very creative and sublime, especially with the bone marrow adding richness to the pasta. Braised crispy pork belly was in fact crisy but also very tender and was accompanied by two scallops. The hanger steak was tender and well-cooked. The veal short rib were succulent in a very pleasant soy ginger sauce elevating the ribs. Lastly for dessert, we got their specialty, smores and a pistachio layered pastry. The smores were to die for, very unexpectedly good.
Overall, everything was amazing and I would highly recommend this place!

What an amazing experience. From the moment you take one step into the entrance
there was a host and hostess waiting to greet you and start your experience. The restaurant itself was very impressive.
Our waitress Maud was outstanding. Our drinks and water were ever empty (Loved the Pineapple margarita).
From start to finish, Maud did not steer us wrong providing us with great suggestion.
Jellyfish was at capacity; however, it did not feel cramped, and the service provided for a restaurant at capacity was outstanding. Thank you, Maud!!!
Our group experience.
Starters Burrata, Avocado and shrimp dishes fantastic, hot and fresh.
Main course, Chicken, cod, Steak, melted in your mouth and was prepared to perfection.
We finished with S'mores/chocolate cake and the eclair.
Everything was delicious.
Jellyfish will meet all the elements for a great Nite out.

Although this restaurant was highly recommended by coworkers it was disappointing.
The food was good but certainly OVER priced.
Although we knew the table would be ours from 19:00 to 21:00 our waiter started pacing at our table 10 mins before 21:00. We had already paid our bills. We were just finishing up our last sips of wine. He asked us TWICE if we could hurry up and free the table.
After spending $300 for a meal, we found it to be disrespected and rude.
Will not be returning!

We shared the carte blanche menu, we were not disappointed: Everything was tasty, well crafted and aesthetically appealing.
The service was very warm, as Canadians know how to do so well.
The only downside to the wine was a little disappointing.

My family and I had a wonderful experience at Jellyfish. The atmosphere, food and drinks were amazing! We tried the octopus, avocado and tuna appetizers. We also had a variety of the main dishes- the char, veal and hanger steak- as well as drinks and a special s’more dessert.
But the best part was the kindness of the staff. Our daughter who is terrified of bees had a sting on our walk over to the restaurant. The entire staff treated her so kindly throughout the entire meal, above and beyond! It really was the cherry on top to end our trip in Montreal, thank you to everyone at Jellyfish- we had an amazing experience!

We visited this restaurant for the first time in March and had a very good meal, although we felt the service was rushed and slighty disorganized. We ordered the rotelle pasta, the cod and the NY steak and all were very good, as was the bread served with the meal and the wine we chose was excellent. However, the 'puri puri' was average and the desert, a type of coconut cake, was not good very good at all. We were surprised that the menu did not include any soups or salads, but the meal was good enough that we made another reservation for four people a few weeks later.
This time, we had a table by the window and our waiter was energetic and seemed knowledgeable. We ordered a bottle of wine right away, although the 'sommelier' did not seem pleased that we knew which bottle we wanted before he could make a suggestion and he did not even open the bottle of wine in front of us, which was very strange. As well, the bread they served were these small rolls which were not that fresh, and when we inquired about the bread from our previous visit, we were told that they had run out of that bread, which shows that the restaurant is not being well managed. What was truly amazing, however, is that we ordered two dirty martinis, and the first time they brought them to us, they were awful, almost as if they were made with straight vodka. The replacements they brought were no better, so we stuck with the wine we had ordered. How can a restaurant of any decent calibre have bartenders who do not know how to make a dirty martini, especially when the bar area is a focal point of the restaurant. Pretty shocking, actually.
The meals we ordered were good, including the rotelle, the cod and the crudo tuna, but the chicken, which was highly recommended, was bland, pale and doused and sitting in a pool of butter. Gordon Ramsay would have a field day with this dish. As well, one of the two deserts we ordered was a half baked chocolate cake with sauce and it was underwhelming and not enjoyable at all.
We will not be going back to this resturant anytime soon. With so many great resturant choices in Montreal, there is no reason at all to go back to this one.

The venue for the latest Cena con Bellissima was the much talked about Jellyfish near the Old Port. It is a lovely space with high ceilings and lavish chandeliers. However we chose a cute little table on the terrace because the evening was fresh. The event actually coincided with a major work achievement for me so what does the best BFF in the world do? She surprises me with celebratory champagne and oysters and it was such a perfect treat to mark the occasion! The menu is quite unique as it is a reflection of the talented chef’s world travels. I was impressed by a particular menu item that was his twist to Indian street food. Everything we ordered was just delicious so it was good we decided to share so we could try a little of everything. The portions are not large but they are filling. They also have an extensive wine list with local offerings. Our waitress was pleasant and charming. Jellyfish is pricey but it definitely lives up to the hype!

One of the best dinners we have ever enjoyed anywhere! We have always had extremely wonderful dinners @ Jellyfish, this time was no exception. Having said that, we found it particularly outstanding!!! We started with Oysters, Scallop Crudo, Beef Tartare, Pani puri, Tuna Crudo, Lobster ceviche and Tuna tartare. Prepared magnificently, fabulous variety, each dish superb!!! Creative masterpieces, unlike dishes you will find elsewhere. We were six people in our party and everyone got to enjoy each Crudo selection.
Crispy Brussel sprouts and broccoli as sides, Veal short ribs, New York Cut and Filet Mignon were the Mains. Each delectable dish prepared impeccably.
As always, the service was excellent. Camille and Jonathan offered fabulous recommendations, on point with timing, always available without being intrusive.
Ambiance is unconventional, lively, very comfortable seating. A beautiful outdoor terrace is available.
Extraordinary evening!! Enjoy a walk around the Old Port after dinner. Couples, friends family, superb choice for any occasion.
Thank you for another extremely memorable evening!!!
🥂 cheers!

Jellyfish offers great fare, that will please discerning palates looking for original dishes. Lots for lovers of raw fish (crudo), expertly prepared, and beautifully presented. The appetizers are really tasty! Appealing choices for veggie lovers, too. Among friends, a great option is just ordering lots of appetizers and sharing. The wine list is limited, but it is possible to find decent selections, even by the glass. This is not the place for an intimate romantic dinner - the place is lively, and the noise level is fairly high.

Our first dinner out since the re-opening! When I called to make reservations, Gabriel was friendly and reassuring about the guidelines.
Large and spacious terrace is beautiful, if you’d like to share the experience under the stars.
The restaurant is magnificent, the lighting, massive windows, art, bar, table settings and comfortable seating. Tables are spread out and there are partitions where necessary.
Tables are carefully cleaned and disinfected between seatings. Waiters and waitresses all wore masks.
Service is exceptional (as always). They work as an amazing team, offering wonderful pairings and recommendations. Always seem to be there exactly when you need something, never intrusive.
The menu (as always) outstanding. We enjoyed the Oysters, Tuna Crudo, Torched Salmon Sashimi, broccoli, Crispy Brussels Sprouts, Octopus tempura, Veal Fillet and New York Cut.
All prepared in the most wonderful and delicate sauces, perfectly balanced, never overpowering, always letting the star on the plate shine through, all platted like works of art!!
The incredible name Jellyfish, Crudo & Charbon should be an indication, that the experience will be fabulous and one that you will always remember!
We enjoyed a lovely walk around Old Montreal when dinner was over. So glad to be back!! Can’t wait to return!!!
Don’t forget to ask about the name “Jellyfish”!!

Went for a nice meal with my wife and was looking for a new restaurant to try. Read good reviews and found the menu had a nice set of fish and meat dishes. We like charcoal BBQ flavor too so this seemed like a nice place to try. We were greeted by a friendly server who explained the whole menu. Too much to pick from so we asked for recommendations. She suggested the avocado carpaccio which were slices of avocado with a delicious garlic mayo. Very tasty. We also had the salmon tartare which was surrounded by a delicious band of charred eggplant. Our mains were the cod and the chicken both highly recommended. I was looking to order the hanger steak but the waitress sold me on the chicken. I don’t normally order chicken in a restaurant but was very happy with this dish. A nice half chicken in a mist toothsome gravy. I couldn’t wait to dip each new bite of chicken in this buttery slightly sweet slightly salty flavoursome gravy. My wife enjoyed her vid and we finished with a s’mores like dessert. Very much enjoyed our first experience. As for prices appetizers were reasonable around 15$ each while mains ran from about $30-40. I think quite reasonable for the area and for the nice atmosphere of the restaurant. On an additional note we found the service very attentive too,

Went with my husband, daughter, brother and sister-in-law on the recommendation of my brother and SIL. We shared an assortment of interesting dishes. Most of which were really good. The short ribs, octopus and tuna tartare were our favourites. The rotelle pasta was tasty, yet very underdone. The raw duck balls were a bit too gamey. Overall we enjoyed our meal and the atmosphere of the restaurant.

I thought it was excellent. Service was very professional, knowledgeable of menu. It is expensive but not overly so, in my opinion. They offered various crudo dishes, of course. Their presentation of our order was excellent, different from other crudo we have enjoyed. Offered some items not commonly seen- veal short rib done in a Korean sauce and octopus tempura. I would make a point to visit again

Ordered four of their "fusion" plates which came with minuscule food and large plates plus 15 sauces smeared on the plates in "avant garde style. Expect no particular taste or anything cooked just half crude veggies including the waitress, a vapid disinterested self absorbed person. I wanted to understand what the specific of this flamboyant restaurant was. They borrow stuff from everyone else and call it their own. Pathetic. The only serious item was the bill. Good lesson however, the "i'll never come back ever" to this place. I was sick for two days due to the raw food served. Avoid at all cost
