Very good food in a budget. We love their butter chicken, the lamb curry, the naan and vegetable samosas.

I pick up samosas here on occasion when the craving hits me. They're inexpensive at $1.50 each for the meat filled and $1.25 each for the vegetarian ones. I rate them about average since they are fairly greasy although tasty. They come with tamarind sauce...More
I’m not sure when I spotted the Thali in downtown Montréal. It’s just a chapatti’s throw north off Rue Ste. Catherine on the east side of St. Marc, occupying a nondescript aluminum storefront that has served many masters over its lifetime. I have fond memories...More
A great spot for a very informal, authentic East Indian meal. The food is fresh, plentiful and ridiculously inexpensive for the amount you are given. If you are staying at the Le Meridien or on Sherbrooke it is close by. Don't let the exterior fool...More
This place is always busy because they have good thali's for a low price. I don't go for anything a la carte but it's great for a cheap and filling thali
Excellent take out deal with 2 meats, a vegetable choice, rice, Naan and Poppadum for $10. The butter chicken was outstanding. Prefer take out as the interior is a bit drab. But the service was very friendly.
Walked for an hour to find Thali, after reading good reviews prior to my trip to Montreal. Got there and found it was not a great experience, and not worth my time and effort to get there. The fact that it is a cafe in...More
It's hard not to eat here everyday. I almost always get the alu goby, chana masala, and sambar. Their samosas are unreal. I love the staff. They do their job and they're good at it. I dream about their food.
This little hole in the wall restaurant is a favorites not only among students but also among locals living in the downtown core. They have a $10, (tax incl) dish that gives you 2 meat selections, one vegetarian dish, rice, a full nan and papadam....More
You can expect Good Quality of Indian food over here within a reasonable price. The place is usually packed and full.Their vegetarian and non vegetarian combination plates are good for those who are on budget. Otherwise you can order the dishes separately. I would suggest...More
