Been here 3-4 times, after a series of pretty lousy meals in Montreal, it was nice to go somewhere where the food was good and the service pleasant.

Dropped in for supper on weeknight to avoid the rain. Sat outside. Not very busy. Promptly waited on. Wife and I each had a small pizza which were very tasty. Many to choose from. However, the crust is VERY thin, cracker-like. Also offered focaccia crust but the options were very limited. Probably would have preferred that crust. Service tailed off... More

We had pizza which was square design but very good. The spaghetti bolognese were OK, but nothing special. Furthermore the bruschetta were fine.

Two of us went here on a chilly summer night. We had the duck confit salad and split a small lime marinated chicken pizza. The pizza and salad were both creative variations on the standard quick supper. The pizza was well executed. The salad sounded more interesting than it was. Service was excellent. They even divided the pizza onto two... More

This was a good, solid meal on a cold frigid night. We were there on a Sunday, the night after Valentine's and it was dead. We were the only people there for most of the evening (a single diner also came in, ate and left) and I am not urea if that is a good sign or not! Turned out... More

Nice location with super service. We had a salad de Beauce which was just fabulous, a special bruschetta with tomatoes and goat cheese which also was delicious. The spaghetti Bolognese was fine - the pizza could have been better. We found the prices a little too high for what you get.

My girlfriend and I decided to give Piazzetta a try. We were greeted as soon as we walked in. The restaurant was quiet (weekday, miserable temperature and we were a little later than usual for dinner). We sat downstairs by the window, in an area where approximately 12 people could sit. The way the restaurant is designed is pretty cool.... More

We tried this restaurant because it was close to our hotel. All four of us enjoyed our meals; the thin crust pizza is very good with a variety of toppings available. The table d'hote is a good option with a good selection of appetizers and desserts. Service was attentive and friendly, and the prices were reasonable.

Piazzetta was ok, but we wouldn't return. Unmemorable to the point where I don't remember exactly what we ordered, two months later. The descriptions of the pizzas sounded better than what arrived. We have a fair bit of experience with this style of pizza (Neapolitan-esque) and it wasn't something that impressed. The toppings didn't seem incredibly fresh and the pizza... More

Staying in Le Plateau Mont-Royal

Neighbourhood Profile
Le Plateau Mont-Royal
Go native in Plateau Mont-Royal, where bespoke shopping, hip eateries, and wacky paint jobs attract locals and transplants alike, making it one of the city's most diverse and distinctly authentic experiences. A creative hub, Montreal's artistic elite pack the cafes along Rue Saint-Denis, where young painters and fashion designers draw inspiration from the playful murals and stately Victorian homes that dot the Plateau's side streets. Not a major sightseeing destination, a visit to Plateau Mont-Royal allows you to enjoy a local perspective, soaking in indie films, latte art, contemporary galleries, and the city's best bagels. A center of polyglot culture, Québécois accents mingle with shades of Portuguese, Greek, and Hebrew in the area's iconic Mile End district, where restaurants straddle chic designer boutiques, serving up chorizo and caldo verde. Friendliest to those on foot, it's a jungle of colourful awnings and sidewalk umbrellas, pedestrian walks and luxury shopping.
