An institution in Montreal ... been around forever. Delicious food (5 star sausage subs), terrific service, plenty of street parking. Prices have gone up, but overall absolutely worth a visit.

Bad, bad and bad.

Don't know if this was just a bad day, but sheesh it was awful. Brought my son for first time. His chicken burger was so dry and yet the bun soaked. He couldn't eat it. The onion rings were weird colour, greasy and also inedible....My sub the bread was stale. Worst experience I've ever had there, I've been many times, but it appears this place has fallen on hard times unfortunately.More

Try it, you’ll like it!

I used to frequent this restaurant very often in my younger days. Finally decided to place a delivery order and try it again. So I ordered a submarine with sausage, tomatoes, cole slaw and onions, and it was just amazing. Same delicious flavors as in...the past, true consistency. The home made hot sauce ( which comes in a small plastic container) adds more savory uniqueness to the already unique sub. A small side of fires with some gravy completed the meal. My wife ordered an all dressed pizza. It’s just the right size for one person, and tue Italian style thickness. It’s good to see these type of restaurants are still there and continue to be run with the same original values.More

Quick Bite

Their subs are great. I haven't had such a good one in a long time. I had the steak and pepperoni one. It was filled with steak that was really tasty and tender. The dressing did not make the bread soggy at all and it...had a slight kick. The fries were well done yet not greasy or burnt. Bravo.More

Do visit once...truly unique subs

Momesso's is a long-standing part of Montreal's Italian food culinary scene Pros: - nice large seating area - nice sports memorabilia (tied to Sergio Momesso) and TVs broadcasting live games. - tasty Italian sausage and hot sauce; I highly recommend the Italian sausage with hot...sauce (if you can take spicy) Cons: - the pizzas are not particularly great...if you go, stick with the subs - somewhat pricier than other sub spots in Montreal; - the coleslaw was a bit too sweet for my likingMore

Best sub in NDG

Great place having been going for 30 years and te food is great. Supreme sub without the bread is a great alternative. Excellent coffee too!

The sausage sub is only a slice of a sausage

Coleslaw is too sweet as per me and not enough protein (sausage) Ordinary !!! I also have a poutine and it was sweet too....Sugar is everywhere.

It's food

It's ok. It has a reputation for great subs but they were fairly mediocre in my opinion. Ingredients weren't slow cooked together, so the flavours were kind of weak. Staff was really nice.

Great traditional Italian Subs!

For my hubby and I , this is a little gem in NDG area of Montreal. We live here , so we frequent Momesso's quite often. Never let's us down. My favorite is the steak and pepperoni with cheese. My hubby's favorite is the sausage....Always delish.More

Maybe the best sub sandwich place ANYWHERE

Ok, first off I'm jaded here. I had so many awesome times/memories with friends here 20 years ago that I had to go out of my way for one of their sausage subs just one more time on this visit to town. They didn't disappoint....The place itself looks iffy from the outside, down in a basement.... but it has been refurbished a bit from its old-time Humphrey Bogart any minute through the door feel. But the subs are still amazing! I kept telling my wife about them before we got there and she thought I was overselling it all. Then she had a few bites of her chicken sub and said, "You weren't lying." Jaded or not....you are missing a LOT of the feel of real Montreal by not stopping in for a quick sub lunch here (with or without some brewsky). Enjoy, you'll thank me later.More

Can you handle the heat?

A joint that had been recommended by family, known for their very spicy sauce, while it was hot... if you can handle spice its not bad, for me the sauce was a bit too sour but over all the food was great, wait staff very...helpful and friendly.More

Best Italian sausage submarine in Montreal.

It is worth the detour. Trust me on this. A friendly family own restaurant, it's a sports restaurant with large screens, but the sound is off. They have other goodies on the menu..But the subs are the specialty. The staff is friendly, ! A must...try when in Montreal.More
