I often come to Petit Alep for it's great middle Eastern mezze and authentic dessert and "rakwe" coffee. Many vegetarian options as well and kids-friendly. A must-try!

I have been going yo this restau for a long time. Place is always packed. True the clientele is mostly people from here but that is because when you come from Middle East you do not go to a restau to have the same food as you do at home. This is typical. Bottom line, food is tasty and true... More

Great service the server bend backwards for us to make sure we're comfortable while waiting for our table. The food was delicious. The cocktails were great. They had a good wine selection and knowledgeable staff.

Le Petit Alep has been around for a long time and is known to be a good restaurant.. as that's what it is: good. It is, however, not authentic. (( No restaurant that calls itself Middle Eastern, would give you Aladdin bread and lamb poutine ;) )) Le Petit Alep is a Middle-Eastern restaurant for folks that are scared of... More

I have been there at several occasions. This is the best kebab filet mignon you will have in my opinion. The kebab terbialy is so tasty, slightly spiced. For casual meal with friends, it is a great spot. Always line up and you can not make reservation at night

An overall great experience from beginning to end. The service was great, one of the owners was the sommelier for us that night and it was a delight being served by her. She had superb recommendations. The food was also on point including dessert. Will be returning.

The atmosphere is great. I bet they pull of a cozy feel in the winter, but in the summer it is perfect. Lots of outdoor seating and windows open for rest of restaurant. Unique cuisine (most Middle Eastern is not Aleppo based), and great prices. Delicious dessert to top it off. Fantastic! One of my favorite parts of my trip... More

Staying in Villeray-Saint-Michel-Parc-Extension

Neighbourhood Profile
The most ethnically diverse of all of Montreal's neighbourhoods, Villeray-Saint-Michel-Parc-Extension (or, Parc-Ex) stands at the city's centre, a hub for rail and metro traffic. Starting at the old station where the Canadian Pacific used to disembark, the brick-and-mortar surroundings of Parc-Ex have a homey feel, with leafy lawns and bicycle lanes seamlessly incorporated into the landscape. With prominent Greek and Spanish communities, Greektown includes the tastiest stops for brochettes and shawarma, and local bars entertain an excitable soccer fanbase. Jerry Park and Stade Uniprix stand ready for sports diehards to enjoy a game, while the the Complexe Environnemental Saint-Michel and Le Taz skate parks invite athletes to train and compete. Though built for the active and best by day, Cirque du Soleil, the TOHU center for arts, and the Le Boulevard shopping centre offer diversions for those who wish to stay late.
