For our final night in Quebec, we were looking for a "fine dining" restaurant, but weren't interested in a $500 tab (for one of the tasting menus with wine at some of the other nearby restaurants). Toast's online menu seemed to have good food at...More

This restaurant is hidden in a garden behind a hotel, making it a literal hidden gem. It's a beautiful setup and makes you feel as though you're in Europe. The food was excellent. The seared fois-gras was the best fois-gras of our trip, perhaps the...More

Great creative food, friendly staff (with just enough formality to make the experience feel special), beautiful venue in the lower town, and a chef who clearly puts his food and the diners for which he works very hard at the top of his priorities list....More

One year later, my husband and I returned to Toast for our special anniversary dinner. The place looks exactly the same. Service from our waiter, this time, was sketchy and so was the food. I returned my order as the meat was tough. The replacement...More

On first impression one is not sure what to expect. But in a pleasant garden with friendly service we were served a delicious meal which exceeded our expectations. The whole meal was well prepared and the wine was not overpriced. Well worth the visit.

Start with the food: outstanding and creative. Everything my wife and I had was delicious. If there's a reservation, it's that the wine list is modest. I would suggest smart casual or cocktail dress. We dined in a collared shirt, bow tie and blazer, and a black cocktail dress with heels.
