Great staff, a little hidden gem in Quebec City. You have the feeling of being in a very small town along the eastern sea board

Thank you for your great review!
Nice food and good drinks. Parking is limited on a weekend and reservations are recommended. Loved the potato chips. The salad nicose came with seared tuna and the grilled cheese was with lobster and chorizo.
A great find on the M Tà Region card. We went for a late lunch/early supper. The food was great and the service prompt. The pricing was fair and the view amazing as we were on the patio right on the warf. Parking was a...little hard to find but realised there was a secondary lot over the bridge.More
Thank you very much Neener_Moo, we appreciate your feedback! Looking forward to seeing you again :)
It may be off the beaten “tourist” path, but it’s well worth the detour as it is right next to the St-Laurence river. Spectacular views with great service and great food. Beers on tap change weekly. Go for the Lobster roll.
Thank you very much EachOnSet :)
On the river, ships and sailboats going by, cold beer and a delicious lobster roll....what more can you ask for....Quaint little restaurant with amazing food on a perfect setting. Went for lunch then a stroll along the St. Lawrence. So peacefull and energizing. A nice...place to get away.More
My elderly neighbour insisted on taking me there for the lobster roll and I was not disappointed. We had such good, attentive and friendly service. It did get a bit loud, but honestly, I'm just happy for the restaurant that it is getting a good...crowd as it is not on the beaten path of a lot of Québec City residents. To me, the detour was well worth it. I do wish the lobster roll had the little green salad as in the photo here, but instead came with some very ordinary cole slaw. That is my only criticism... otherwise, I am just looking forward to returning. Lots of beer choices, a menu that changes with the seasons, and finally, a restaurant right on the water with fabulous sunset views, a total rarity in Québec City's area.More
We decided to eat here even before arriving, as I had read the reviews. Glad we stuck to our plan. Fast, friendly service, at first went in and chose a table, was a little loud as it was a Thursday night and the younger crowd...were a little loud. No problems there, went out on the side of the terrace, no more noise, nice and quiet, could even hear the waves splashing up against the shore. I was impressed with my Steak Tartar, very good and my wife had the cheese and meat platter, was also very good, nice presentation, bonus was having a good variety of beers to chose from. I choose Raftman from Trou Du Diable, as it is one of my favorite Microbreweries. I would recommend this restaurant.More
Went on the bici to Quebec and passed this place. It was very nice located down near the river with a great view. I had a nice coffee with sandwich. The milk coffee had a nice foam top. Sandwich with chorizo tasted great. Also very...friendly nice staf! After I cycled further down along the river where is a nice park where many people go for a walk.More
I ate here with my boyfriend for lunch, and it was a great experience! We ate by the waterfront and had a wonderful view! The menu was somewhat limited, but the food was very good! The service was also friendly and quick. The prices were...maybe a tad high for a lunch, but it wasn't overpriced for the food we got. The portions aren't huge, but I didn't feel cheated out of my money. I would recommend eating here!More
My husband and I went to that exquisite restaurant yesterday for supper. We started with a nice glass of bubbles and fresh beer. We enjoyed our drinks to the sound of the waves of the river, the beautiful scenery of the bay and pier with...its fishermen, the lovely music and the nice breeze on our face. The terrace was full already so it is a good idea to make a reservation. The ambiance was very lovely, we could see people having a real good time among friends, they were families with children, even babies in strollers and of course couples. We ate a delicious dish of hot nachos. Our waiter was very nice, joyful and really professional.More
Once in a while one comes across a place that looks simple enough but which turns out to be the perfect fit. Quai 1635 is located in Cap Rouge, a few miles west of Quebec City, in a beautiful spot right on the shore of...the St Lawrence. We got there after an an "athletic" (for our age ...) 5 miles hike along Plage Jacques Cartier, eager for a light lunch. My wife and I shared a salad that turned out to be just fabulous, in sight and in taste, with a complex mix of greens, seeds, raisins, nuts and goat cheese. Among the very best we ever had. The "grilled cheese" dessert was a genuine discovery: an disconcerting mix of grilled brioche slices with cheddar, chocolate, caramel and ice cream, served in a small skillet. Hard the describe the perfect combination of texture and symphony of tastes! Clearly, Quai 1635 has a very creative chef. An amazing discovery, off the beaten track, but fully worth the detour!More
Hi Turtle, Thank you very much for the kind words. We are glad that you enjoyed your lunch at Quai 1635 and are looking forward to seeing you again. David (Chef & Owner)
