This place was recommended to us by the couple sitting next to us the day before at lunch. Picked up some goodies and coffee to begin the day. I had the cherry tart. It was flakey and delicious. Not too sweet and lightly sugared. So good. DH had a breakfast croissant with ham. Said it was very good. The hollandaise... More

A well run restaurant and bakery. Everyone comes here, young and old, locals and tourists. They make wonderful pastries traditional and innovative. You can craft sandwiches from their menu, and the coffee and hot chocolate!! Marvelous. Cheerful staff, bilingual of course, and very efficient. Seats about 100 and the line is constant but worth it. I miss the baguettes already.

This was pointed out to me on a tour and went back the next day to try. Early Saturday morning and was packed with locals and tourist alike. Ordered the almond pastry which was wonderful. Didn't have enough time to try it dining in and ordering a variety.

We stumbled upon Paillard during short visit to Quebec city and liked it instantly. Lovely selection of boulangerie pastries and then... great soups and lunch food at reasonable prices ! Paillard crew kindly served us nice soup and sandwiches , topped with some apple cakes - just what we needed for this cold November day :)

I had been here a few years ago and was telling my friend about the amazing pastry so we could not leave Quebec City without dropping in. We stopped for coffee and the most delicious croissants. I had the chocolate almond and my friend had the lemon. The deli sandwiches I had on a recent trip were very good as... More

Paillard is great, it's always my last stop before I leave to bring croissants home to my family. Good for a quick snack or cup of coffee and lunch, too.

I eat gluten free and as this is a bakery/bread shop my husband and I got a variety of macarons. We ate them all that night and went back the next day for more to bring home! Everything else looked and smelled good. Lots of cafeteria style seating.

Absolutely love their sandwiches! They bake their own bread so you can definitely taste the freshness there. I'd recommend their Chipotle Chicken :) The location is also great.
