The menu here defies description, other than wow, what great choices and so nicely presented. My wife and I decided to eat here for her birthday, our waitress was caring and worked at the pace we wanted, so dinner took 3 hours!

As you walk in it smells so good you could put on some weight just by walking in, everything I had was excellent, an excellent place to stop and treat yourself as you walk the old town.

We (24) had a lovely dinner at Chez Bouley. The food, presentation, and service were all wonderful. My only criticism was the decision to place us in a private room. Ambience is part of dining. The room was dark/unlt on the side we did not...More

Eat there with a work colleague whilst on business in Québec. Very nice amuse-bouche and good brunch menu! We both eat le pêcheur salads with delicious salmon riette and beautifully poached eggs! Would recommend

Located inside the wall on busy Rue St-Jean, the attractive, upscale restaurant is connected to the Hôtel Manoir Victoria. The interestingly creative menu reflects the Chef's inventive Nordic cuisine, a gastronomic delight. The Cream of Broccoli was nothing less than exquisite. So was the seared...More

Description
When our chefs Jean Luc Boulay and Arnaud Marchand joined together to open Chez Boulay – Bistro Boreal, their goal was to highlight the richness of Quebec’s local products. Nordic cuisine invites discovery of unique regional products through the rhythm of the seasons. Elk, trout, elderberry flower and Labrador tea are featured on our menu in creative ways. It is a surprising blend of Quebec culinary traditions and international influences. While exploring Nordic cuisine, one discovers unique products. Cranberry seed oil, hemp oil and apple cider vinegar proudly occupy a place in our menu and replace staples from the South like olive oil and citrus. Since the opening of the Bistro, our chefs and cooks have made amazing discoveries, which have been integrated into the gourmet bistro menu and this proudly underscores the richness of our boreal region.
