Perhaps the finest meal experience we've had in years! We travel a lot so can be a bit hard to impress...Legende was able to WoW us. We had the tasting and wine pairing and enjoyed every dish as well as the thoughtful wine pairings. The service was superb and the pacing of the meal was just right. There are many good restaurants in Old Quebec but this one stands head and shoulders above!

Take advantage of the amazing tasting menu! Each course was an explosion of flavors to our palate. As the server brought each beautifully plated course, he/she explained the ingredients and preparation. Although each course was a tasting, we were full by the end of the evening. We did not add the wine tasting for each course.

A birthday dinner that I won't forget. My husband made reservations for us to go when we were vacationing in Quebec. It was such a pleasant surprise and the most interesting experience we've had involving a meal. Plus, we were the first to try the restaurant's new for the season six course tasting menu. Favorite dish I had that evening?... A fresh doughnut featuring an IPA cream base sauce, bison ricotta cheese, and topped with cold smoked duck and grated dried foie gras. It was the most amazing donut I've ever had. My cocktail involved sparkling and locally sourced mead.
The menu, especially the tasting menu, changes on the regular because everything there is farm to table (minus wine). So I can only imagine what future delicious dishes they'll create next!
Our waiting staff was incredible too. They were so happy and excited to ask our thoughts on the new menu and they were extremely courteous, making sure everything was just right. I even mentioned bring chilly to our waitress and she offered a blanket and to turn up the heat. Yes, a blanket! Such a great touch!

Ate with my girlfriend after a long week of camping in the Quebec wilderness. We were very excited for this meal all week long. To begin, the service was outstanding. We had four different servers who paid constant attention to us and never let our glasses go less than 3/4 full. We ordered the 6 course tasting menu along with the wine tasting. We consider ourselves foodies on a limited budget, 500 dollar meals are once every few years for us, hence, we were very excited for this meal.
Now, the effort put into the meals was obviously there, in my opinion, too much effort/focus on being unique and not enough focus on flavour. Many restaurants with heavy price tags will focus on the creativity and complexity of their dishes and less on the actual wow factor of taste.
The restaurant was beautiful, service was incredible, the food was very underwhelming. I understand tasting menus change according to season, perhaps we got a bad roll of the dice. Presentation of the dishes was impeccable, creating an excitement which was not met with each bite, of which each course was about two bites.
I'm sorry, but cucumber is cucumber, making it into a foam or mousse does not improve it and it felt quite pretentious. Fettuccine alfredo with a rutabaga substitute for noodles is a sin. It felt like the effort to differentiate the ingredients outweighed the actual flavor and taste of the meal.
I understand that these restaurants are an experience in the culinary arts, but the fact that we spent 500 dollars and then immediately proceeded to get a poutine at a chip truck after our meal can sum up the experience.
Considering this was a meal we had planned for months....saved for...and were left still hungry afterwards, it was honestly heartbreaking. We do not make alot of money so a 500 dollar bill is something we needed to plan for and we did alot of research trying to find a perfect way to end our trip. Unfortunately this was not it.
If you can regularly afford this type of experience then go for it, it was fun, but not even close to worth it for us.

It took over two hours for our complete meal to be served. The portions were small. Some of the dishes were tasty but others were not. For example, did not like the duck - it was raw and rubbery. Did not like the taste of the rabbit either. Mostly patrons under 40 were seated at the table - a young crowd.

The main reason to visit this excellent restaurant is to go for the $89 Canadian six course tasting menu which focuses on ingredients you can only get in the province of Quebec, which is fairly northern. “So there will not be kiwis or mangoes or lemons,” the waiter said laconically. You have a choice of wine accompaniments: $69 for the basic package or $150 for the luxury six glasses, including a lovely champagne. We chose the latter and were not disappointed. The servings are small so you leave full rather than stuffed. Dinner started with two fish dishes - both tasty - before an excellent vegetarian plate. The service was brisk, a bit too brisk in fact, and the fourth dish, a bison tartare, didn’t work at all. They recovered with the fifth plate of beef and then ended with a very strong blueberry based dessert. Add a martini and a 25% tip and the final bill was $710 Canadian, which is a lot of money. But we came away happy and that is the main point. Absolutely recommended.

This is an outstanding special destination restaurant in the lower city of Vieux Quebec (Old Quebec,) This first-class restaurant draws on local ingredients, and has a vegetarian menu as well as serving fish and meat. The very attentive wait staff does an excellent job of explaining options (in English in our case). The menu is largely smaller plates desinged for sharing. Our waiter recommended two per person, and four dishes proved interesting, filling, and not overwhelming, They inquirer about food allergies. We had one dish featuring fish, another a corn and fennel soup with numerous other vegetables, and a mushroom pasta dish among others. Each was excellent and distinctive. We did not order wine or dessert, and spent about C $100 before tax and tip, It was an outstanding meal for our last night in Quebec and in honor of one of our (recent) birthday. Far more expensive that a usual meal for us, but worth going out of the way to have. I rarely give restaurants 5 stars -- Restaurant Legende deserves them, Suggestion: make reservations in advance, You can do this on line.

Légende is an unparalleled dining adventure. The staff are incredibly friendly and extremely knowledgeable - trust whatever they recommend to you, they know what they're doing. The chef is inspired and he as well as everyone else here seems to have found their calling. All of your senses will be stimulated by the incredible food and environment, and you will leave smiling and sated yet energized. The experience borders on life changing. This place is not to be missed while in Quebec City.

Great atmosphere, lovely and attentive staff and delicious food.
We popped by in late September and decided on the tasting menu and wine flight. Both delicious with a great combination of flavours and styles. One diner gluten free was looked after really well and both enjoyed the experience, took 2 plus hours so don't rush the experience.

Came in and was greeted warmly by bartender/ hostess. The menu is accessed through a QR code. Trying to decide on the wine and see the prices on a cell phone was difficult. The waiter came back twice to see if we had decided on a bottle of wine. The second time he seemed impatient with us. I asked if they had a paper menu and he said he could bring me an iPad to look at the menu. Much better. Beers were $13.50 and up which was higher than other places we’d been. Much higher. They really want you to order the 6 course meal which ran $95 pp. We were told that if you order the 6 course meal the entire table must order the 6 course meal. I thought that odd since there were 4 of us. Instead we opted for a la carte. When we placed the order the waiter warned us that the portions were small. He wasn’t kidding. Tortellini dish came with 3 tortellini’s. Gravelax and lobster salad was similarly small. The food was good but not exceptional. In my opinion it was overpriced. I wouldn’t go back nor recommend it.

Thank you for your visit at Légende restaurant. We take note of your comments regardings your experience with us. Our beers is in fact a little expensive versus what you can find in other places. Altought we are proud of offerings only speciality beers from renowned microbrewery in Quebec province. Like you said we do obliged all the guests of a table to choose either between the tasting or the " a la carte" menu. Reason is if we mixed them and a guests on table have a 6 courses diner and the person with him have only a 2 courses meal it become really not the same overall experience for either of them. Like your waiter said our portions are less in quantity than a classic main dish and we suggest 2 or 3 of them to make a complete meal. The whole idea of it is to ensure guests can tastes more then 1 dishes and see more of what our culinary team can offer. We are not saying we are a ''cheap'' restaurant but we feel really competive about our prices versus the rest of the upscale restaurant in the city. We appreciated the honesty of your comment and will be more than happy to have an other chance to please you better.

What an excellent well thought-out farm to table high-end foodie restaurant. It is chique-casual... and that applies to the food, ambience, and the diners. The tasting menu is an excellent and affordable way to take in the creativity of the chef. This chef works hard and is constrained by the high level of commitment to quebec sourced food. Three of the six dishes were world class and the others were very good, and tended toward earthy. Service was perfect. Finally, the wine list is exceptional and the cocktails were artfully created.

We were staying at the adjoining hotel so made a reservation for dinner. We were not disappointed. They offer a Chefs 7 course tasting meal but if you ask them they will show you the Ala Carte menu. Our meal started off with 2 shrimp balls with sauce, which was very yummy. For our dinner we chose the Whiskey marinated flank steak ($34) and Tempura battered Hake fish ($35). Both meals were delicious but portions are on the smaller size. For dessert we had the Panna Cotta ($15) & Apple Cake ($15), again both desserts were delicious. Drinks were unique and excellent. Ambience in the restaurant is very pleasant. Wait staff was very helpful and attentive. We throughly enjoyed our evening. Thank you!!

Dining at Legende is one of the highlights of our vacation. The food is local and served with great skill and enthusiasm. Each course of the tasting menu offered wonderful flavors, beautifully presented. The staff, our wine steward was a delight. She served each delicious wine and non/alcoholic cocktail explaining why they would pair with the dishes and was so very informative. Our host, Karine, helped us further enjoy each course by sharing information about the chef, the delicacies used in each dish and even gave us recommendations on other beautiful areas to see during our trip. My food allergy was carefully considered and I did not feel my meal was lacking any care or enjoyment as a result. Lastly, we feel fortunate to have had a seat at the table where the excitement over local cuisine is paramount. Thank you.

Be aware of this restaurant! We are travelling from west coast to here with 4&8 years old kids. We tried to google search all the restaurants and book them ahead.however, we have never received any email confirmations for booking. We thought we didn't get the booking. However, this restaurant charged $200 anyway. With $30 average for their main dishes, we probably only spend $100-120 with 2 kids even we go. Well, they think my kids could use their fancy wine paring and spend $700 in total! They see money only in their eyes. How good will their food be? Please be careful with it.

Hi there. First of all, we hope you had a good time visiting Quebec City. Altought, we would like to note that our reservation system is clear regarding our cancellation policy. You had to enter your credit card informations to secure your reservation and it is clearly indicated that we take a 50$ deposit for each guests of the reservation and that will be charge as a no show fee if you don't come to the restaurant. You received a text message confirmation right after you make the reservation and one as well 1 day prior the date. You receive those confirmations by text instead of email because that the option you choose when enter the reservation. We will have happily cancelled those fees if you had call us to cancel your booking. Sincerely.

Happy Valentines Day to everyone a little sweetness today can go a long way. We’re @quebeccite @resto_legende Légende and what a meal we had. This was certainly one of the Best meals I have ever had. From service to presentation to flavours everything was incredible.
