We were told by a friend from Montréal to try Le Clocher Penché while we were in Québec. We didn't think we'd have time and then somehow ended up in that neighbourhood just as they were closing up for brunch. There were ten minutes until closing and I thought they would say it was too late, but they were welcoming... More

We went there for dinner during our short stay in Quebec. When we popped by it was fully booked (8pm) but they kindly kept us a table for 9pm. The food was really nice ( our bison steak was perfectly cooked and tender), wine was expensive, as most places in Quebec, but good selection and quality. Nice atmosphere and great... More

A high-end unpretentious dining experience. Terrific cocktails and wine recommendations. I ordered the blood pudding and you could tell they knew what they were doing by the accompanying whipped root vegetables. Highly recommended!

I spotted this place as I was walking trough the neighbourhood. It was one of the best brunches I've ever tried. I had a steak and eggs breakfast and must say I rarely tasted such tasty meat. The marinade was on point a perfect balance of sweat and salty. Our waitress was nice and very helpful. I would recommend this... More

I had dinner here alone so I only tasted 2 items, but they were both original and delicious. The special pea soup was not puréed, but was loaded with diferent varieties of legumes in a rich but not overwhelming stock. The essence of each ingredient (including ham) stood out yet fit together as a whole. Same with the chicken dish--a... More

We enjoyed Sunday brunch here based on the recommendation of the staff at the hotel where we were staying. The french toast was delicious as was the verrine that serves as a first course. The service was prompt and attentive. The neighborhood is being revitalized so it was nice to wander around and do some window shopping after breakfast. Because... More

We went for lunch on the second last day of our visit to QC. It was so good, we went back to our hotel and asked them to make reservations for brunch on our last day. Try the salmon gravlax...fantastic. But you can't go wrong with the gazpacho, fish of the day or beef tartare. Literally, everything we ate here... More

My wife and I had lunch at Le Clocher Penche this past week. The food is French bistro at it's best. Everything was fresh and lovingly treated. We had local salmon and local grass fed beef. Both were lightly handled and perfectly expressed their true nature. The bar is nice and makes a fine drink. The place is a little... More

Modern bistro serving French food. The best ingredients and the results were delicious. Service was slow the night we went, but it was worth it. This is not an air conditioned restaurant and it was quite warm when we went. Ask to sit near a window. Reserve in advance.
