Coming here is like stepping back in time and reliving an era of restaurants gone-by. From the elegant waitstaff, to the menu options, to the cocktails, Le Continental is an experience you won't forget Definitely order one of the "Flambe" options, where the waiter actually...cooks the dish table-side. The mustard sirloin was so tender and flavorful. My parents ordered the Chateaubriand and that too was fantastic. Our waiter was very thorough in explaining each dish as he prepared it, as well as making suggestions on meal items. Don't skip dessert! The Crepes Suzette were yummy and a great way to top off an incredible meal. Reserve your table in advance - slots book up pretty early. Le Continental is worth every penny!More

Nice restaurant. It's obviously catering to tourists but seemingly to locals as well. It is a very energetic environment, but each table does have its space. The service is fast but not rushed. Lot's of fires at the side tables for the table preparation of...steaks or duck. We had both and were quite happy with both. Perfectly prepared and good ingredients. Not cheap, but the money goes into food, setup and service. This is how we made feel good about splurging. (Especially after a letdown the night before.)More

We went to Le Continental three times in four days. Was excellent in all ways. Superb and highly trained staff who tend to your every need. We were want for nothing. They were incredibly detail-oriented with their service and were also very friendly. I thought...the caesar salad was a stand out, as well the peppercorn steak, best carpaccio I've ever had in my life. Excellent Maitre D and highly recommend going early for the best tables and the most amount of service and attention in general. We loved our table in the front near the window. So many great things on the menu you really can't go wrong. The flambe performance was fantastic and memorable. Creme brûlée, pears flambe, chocolate mousse and bouche de Noel were some of our favorite desserts.More

Our experience I give 1 we are very disappointed service not good yes a little bit our fault but we are the costumer we order what we wants, in the last minute we order the Cesar salad cos many people said it’s good. Yes indeed...it was good. But then we got our main course and the waiter said to my fiancé now you plenty of time to eat. What is that mean. Waiter upset cos we order extra food. Who is gonna pay for the bills? We are so we order what we want. But we own our mistake my lamp chop was Over cook it was gray like dead animal color. But we are okay with it. But the other waiter again makes a comment you can’t eat your lamp chop like that, what they care how I eat my lamp chop I want to eat my lamp chop. It was very expensive so let me enjoy my food.right? Our bills was $500 very expensive restaurants bad service no one deserve that.More

This amazing restaurant has excellent service: our caesar salad, chateaubriand, and dessert were all prepared table side. The food is simply amazing and we definitely recommend it as a gourmet experience.

This was a phenomenal meal and great service. The table side preparation is something I have not done before and we enjoyed it a lot. The Caesar salad is a must, and the table side filet was great. Andrea our server did a fantastic job...along with everyone assisting him.More

My gut tells me that this restaurant has the poorest phone service I’ve ever gotten! You know, I’ve been dying treat myself with a high-end dining experience. Friends recommended me this place to me, and I decided to call to the restaurant to clarify some...details before making a reservation. It was an international call on Viber from another continent. This call was important to me, for I was going to organize my birthday party for 15 people. Unfortunately, I had to make several calls until someone answered me by phone. I only had time to say a few words before I was interrupted. They asked me to make a call-back, like I had a bad connection. You know, I didn’t whisper my questions, I spoke aloud! I assumed, my efforts were worth any cost and sacrifice, and I tried three more times, yet when they heard me, they hung up me, like they were afraid to pick up a disease from me. I was devastated and bewildered! So, I had to step out of this track and look for another place to celebrating my birthday.More

I expected pricey so the costs, though very high, didn't throw me off. The server was so taken with himself that he didn't hear what we very clearly ordered. My wife got veal medallions instead of ris de veau (veal sweetbreads). The waiter gave us...a complimentary glass of something bubbly, which by then we certainly didn't want.More

This is a visually lovely and old school posh restaurant. It is where we had the most expensive meal of our trip to Canada. While the food was very good, I don't think that what we paid was worth it. My husband had the crab...in Hollandaise sauce appetizer and he said it was good. For our entrees I had the dover sole and he had the lamb chops. My dover sole was just okay, but he said his lamb was very good. We had wine by the glass and a strawberry shortcake dessert. All the to and fro'ing with the hot tables fo finish off the entrees tableside and lighting brandy on fire was interesting, but at one point I thought a woman at a nearby table was going to catch fire. A very good restaurant, but you'll pay a premium for dining here.More

This is a marvelous place and we would definitely return again. The chateaubriand was done to perfection. The service was outstanding. The prices are at the higher end but really worth it. And the ambiance is luxury.

We went for dinner for my husband's birthday. The restaurant is very elegant and overlooks a private garden. The menu mostly caters to flambe items, which is very entertaining to watch. As you can imagine, the servers are excellent at preparing this food. We ordered...the parmesan fondue and lobster bisque. For a main, we ordered the chateaubriand, which also came with potatoes and vegetables. All was cooked as ordered and we really enjoyed it. We also ordered an additional side of Dauphinois potatoes, which were a bit dry and bland -- not very good. The portions were large. Our server was very attentive.More

Amazing traditional French Dinning experience. The staff greeted us with a flare of grandeur. The wait staff was very knowledgeable about the menu and made recommendations after a few questions to assess our preferences. We chose the table side prepared Cesar salad and duck. Crème...brûlée for dessert. There is a reason this restaurant has been in operation since the 1950’s. They attend to detail and deliver a first class dinning experience. 🍾🎉More

We dined at Le Continental on our final night in Quebec and it was memorable! Across the street from the Chateau Frontenac, it served one of the finest French meals that we have eaten. Everything on the menu was great, and they cooked the dessert...at our table! We had the soup, shared the Beef Wellington and had the pear menu item for dessert. Wow! It was a little pricey, but well worth the money. Be sure and get a reservation!More

Truly memorable dining experience. Old school waiters in white dinner jackets that are consummate professionals. Table side food preparation was really special with lots of fire presentations.
