Total EnjoymentIn the gourmet world of Le Continental, traditional cuisine is classical. Enjoy the perfect service, the great flambéed dishes that pay tribute to the delicious French cuisine. The Continental's wine cellar is most impressive with its board of famous selection of French, Italian and American wines. It offers a choice of more than five thousand bottles, four hundred different varieties from Grands Crus classés to affordable prices.

This restaurant harkens back to the days of fine dining and white coated waiters….in fact no female servers. However we had lovely attentive and unobtrusive service from Denis…his preparation of Ceasar salad was top notch as was the crepes Suzette which we enjoyed for dessert....Our mains - Dover sole and snow crab were beautifully prepared and presented. We ordered frites - they were horrible….soggy as can be. Disappointing. And the Vichy carrots - not so good….asparagus nicely done. Continental has a very interesting wine list. All in all a very fine evening.More

Excellent everything! Food was cooked to perfection and beautifully presented. We had the scallops, salmon, and sugar pie. Service was absolute top notch - amazingly attentive. Atmosphere was lovely.

Ceasar salad made table side is not authentic. They use flair to make a show but it’s not the real deal More mushrooms were missing from my main dish. I discussed this with the waiter who insisted they were there. I know Morel mushrooms. They...were definitely not included. Spent over $300 for a meal for two. Service was attentive but not worth the price I paid.More

They put on a great show, fire shooting up to the ceiling. Very attentive service. The steak , 2.5-3 inches thick, was good and well cooked. The accompanying sauce was also very good. The scallops were well prepared with a good creamy sauce. The veggies...and potato sides were so-so. The frites were not crispy. The three small asperges were ok. The roasted potatoes and carrots were below average. Cheries jubilee was prepared at the table, which was interesting to watch. The result was very good. That all said, was it worth it? It’s expensive. Probably yes, but in terms of the quality of the meat, it was not aged and not up to the quality of a good steakhouse. But then again this was not a steakhouse. It was a totally different experience. It’s very close to the Fairmont. So it’s convenient. If you are looking for a French, white-tablecloth experience, with food cooked at the table, this is for you. If you want a charred piece of aged beef, maybe not.More

Expensive, but the absence of any dress code or expectations, lowered the atmosphere . Beef was good. Sole was ordinary

Top flight cuisine and excellent service. Restaurant packed with local residents who know their food. A memorable experience and one is hard pressed to find a single fault. In a word: flawless.

What a fabulous way to end our getaway. It has been a very long time since we have had dinner flambéed at our table. The dinner was very elegant as was the dining room and the waiter (sorry we forgot to get his name) and...very attentive. Will definitely dine there again on a reutrn trip.More

A veritable institution in Quebec City. No nonsense French cuisine with waiters at your beckon call addressing to your minute details. We had the lobster bisque to start; the chateaubriand which was medium rare and the crepe sauzete ( sp) to top off a great...meal. When in Quebec when you desire an old school French meal head to the Le Continental.More

We were there last week and I wore a jacket and my wife wore a nice top and slacks. I believe the restaurant has lost some luster. I believe there is a thing such as too casual when you are paying those prices. There were... More

We paid $270, but what you spend depends on what you order. You could dive there for less, or for more!
