We had a lovely time sitting by the fire in this cozy little restaurant. Our server Fannie was bubbly, friendly and spoke very well in English. Unfortunately my main was a little dry (rabbit cassoulet) but upon mentioning it to Fanny it was removed from our bill no questions asked. Would love to come back in in the summer and... More

Glad to have managed to bag a table at this busy little restaurant. We enjoyed delicious rabbit poutine as well as a couple of glasses of hot cider. Would recommend making a reservation if you wish to eat here during busy times, since it seems to fill up with hungry diners fast!

Le Lapin Sauté is a classic with locals and tourists. It's warm atmosphere is a great place to stop for a drink and snack while exploring the lovely Petit Champlain. Reservations are recommended for dinner as the dining area is extremely small. The menu is mostly Québec comfort food (crêpes, charcuterie and cheeses, an interesting rabbit poutine)

My boyfriend and I came here for dinner in December 2016. There was about a 20 minute wait for dinner, but the restaurant took our names and we wandered off for a drink elsewhere. No issues upon our return - table was waiting for us. The restaurant is very busy, but honestly the food was so good I wasn't paying... More

We stumbled upon this jewel and we were thrilled that we did! We had three adults and one child, but ordered seven different menu items. I honestly cannot tell you which I loved the most!! The cheese board was amazing! Their chimichurri sauce was like nothing I have ever tasted before or probably ever will again. They add a secret... More

We stopped in after a long day of hard skiing. Decided to order multiple items to share. Started with the local cheese and charcuterie board - excellent local selection of tasty cheeses, rabbit and duck. Also had the green salad, porc stew and a rabbit dish. This was all washed down with mulled wine and hot cider. A perfect way... More

We sat outside in October and we were comfortable enough. The French Onion soup was delicious. I think my husband had offal of some sort which he enjoys. I had some nice cod and he had a poutine. It wasn't haute cuisine but it was very tasty and a great place to people watch on the Petit-Champlain.

This pleasant busy restaurant is on one of the narrowest and busiest streets in Quebec City but we were pleased to be able to sit al fresco (to mix languages here) in their covered open air patio so we could see all the passing tourists and the buzz. Of course, since we were in Le lapin Saute and because we... More
