This was our second time going to the restaurant, and once again it was excellent. It was busy, and we had to wait for a table, but it was well worth it. The atmosphere with a musician was entertaining, the service staff although extremely busy...were on point and excellent, and of course the food was perfection. I already have sights on what I will be ordering next time I am in QC. Love, love love.More

Overpacked and noisy restaurant with no respect of social distance. Food for kids is awful. I ordered caneloni and they were clearlynot fresh.

Excellent food, a bit more pricy but worth every penny. Great services and very tasteful. Make sure to stop by during your visit !

We get seated and then in about 5 mins we get asked if we want drinks. Not a bad start. That's a fair wait for a busy place. We ordered the Sangria pitcher and what we got was fruit punch. The drink was SO watered...down that it was money poorly spent. The server was nice enough to keep coming back to refill our glasses with what was left in the pitcher. she managed to spill ice on to my table, but didn't bother to say sorry OR get a napkin to clear the table. I had to ask for it after waiting. The menu is nothing to write home about but they do present themselves as Italian fine dining, so you'd expect the servers to be well versed with the menu. One of us ordered the gnocchi but knew from previous experience that gnocchi is typically made in an alfredo sauce. She made sure to ask the server (since it was not written in the menu) if the gnocchi was made in a red sauce or if it could be requested. The server very clearly said "yes it is made in a red sauce". They another friend ordered a tortellini which just said "Meat" in the menu. She asked the server what meat was the "meat"? The server said it is just meat. WOW! I mean Mr Manager of the restaurant - perhaps educate your staff on the ingredients?? My friend took a chance and wish she handed. Three of us sitting there tasting the food and could not figure out what the "mystery meat" was. A third friend ordered the vegetarian pasta and asked if she could add extra vegetables in it. The server asked what she would like. My friend replied, whatever vegetables you have and then listed 2 or 3 of them. then the wait. We waited for a VERY long time for the food which we didn't mind since we understand that things were busy (but the server did come out twice to apologize for the delay). then the food came. the veggie pasts came with pasta and literally 4 broccoli pieces. Count em. One, Two, three, Four. Literally 4 broccoli pieces and that was it. The gnocchi which was promised to be i a red sauce came in a white sauce. We called our server over and we told her that we asked you if the gnocchi was in a red sauce and you said yes. To which she replied. "did you ask for it to be made in red sauce"? WHHHHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAT????? We literally asked you if it is made in a red sauce and you said yes so we placed an order. She said she can get it replaced, so we were fine. Within 5 minutes the gnocchi came back and in a rose sauce. So instead of actually making a fresh pasts as promised, the chef added a red sauce directly over the alfredo sauce to make a disgusting rose sauce. Despite all of this, we tipped the server and made no fuss and told them what the issue was. The server seemed least bothered. While we were leaving, the manager came by and said "hope you guys had a good experience" and we replied with a "not really. it was ok" and he replied "lovely. please do come again. I mean we get it. you are busy. But the fake niceties please keep to yourself. Pretending to actually care about your customers has to be one of the most annoying things any restaurant staff can do. If you aren't going to listen to our answer, then please don't ask any questions. We had a terrible time and it really sullied our first dinner in Old Quebec City. Never going back and never recommending it to anyone.More

This spot was amazing! Quick service and delicious food. Had the cuttlefish fettuccini, pasta was fresh, and the seafood generous! This restaurant did not disappoint (even in covid times) ! We will definitely come back again !

We have ordered for take out and were dissapointed when we opened the boxes. Pizza was burnt from one side, spaghetti we had in one container was raw (not al dente, it was really raw), the meat was unseasoned and even 'garlic bread' didn't have...any garlic taste. We are very unsatisfied, our supper in hotel was ruined.More

We had a late dinner at Potofino. They were not taking any more reservations when we called earlier in the evening. They said they were taking names at the door. Last people that came in had waited 35 minutes. So we decided to go anyway...and left or name. This was after 8PM on a Saturday night, We got in about 45-50 minutes later. Service was good. Drinks were good as well. My wife had a Raspberry Royal (which was very good). The Minestrone soup and bruschetta were good. Our main dishes were ok. My wife's Gnocchi was good. Tasted almost identical to a restaurant we liked back in Montreal But at that restaurant it was about half the price. I have the rack of lamb off of the table d'hote. The lamb itself was good but I expected more for the price. It was served with a pasta and some vegetables. While it was all good separately the flavors didn't really compliment each other. It was like separate things on a plate and not a thought out meal. The Tiramisu desert was just sad. I LOVE tiramisu. DO yourselves a favor and skip this one. All in all a good meal but not worth the prices they charge.More

Portofino is well known and has a really nice décor. As for my experience, food was really average: not bad but anonym. I took the Duck risotto. The duck was flavorless and the risotto smooshy. It's for me an American-talian restaurant. The sauce of Arancini...was really good. Arancini as a starter was pretty nice. Personally, Quebec has so much to offer. Service was fine, but we got forgotten a few time : it felt rush. It is not bad restaurant, but not as food a it could be.More
