Just 2 blocks from my hotel, we dined here for breakfast since it among the few places with eggs. Scrambled eggs were a bit overcooked, but still appreciated, and came with ham and toast for a modest price. Yogurt and fruit was also very good. Many diners were eating crepes but we did not. The facility is compact and the staff frequently sidestepping each other, but it works and the staff was very friendly. Inexpensive.

My wife and I had brunch here. I had a savoury crepe filled with egg, cheese, bacon and sausage. My wife had a sweet crepe with strawberries. Portions were generous, the crepes were very good and service was pleasant and fairly quick given how busy the restaurant was. We sat at the bar and were able to watch the food preparation. Would recommend.

Surprising array of sweet and savory crepes, alas no seafood options. Difficult for someone who cannot eat cheese (FYI). Service was slow, but that seems to be the norm in Quebec City. Very young, slightly flighty staff - cold coffee was remedied, albeit slowly. Nice window seat provided views of the street during long lunch.

Disappointing. Buckwheat crepe came with hardly any filling. We had ordered cheese and bacon. When we told server it was not as ordered and could we have more bacon she replied “ you can’t just have bacon for free”. Only resolved by calling manager.

Vegetarians are not ‘angry’. When choosing the crepe from the breakfast menu special, I asked them to change the ham to spinach. She was happy to do it, and did not inform me that I would not be getting the breakfast special price. I asked to speak to the manager, who also told me that she was the owner. She seemed to be insulted that I’d expect them to change the ‘formula’. I’ve been coming here since the 1980’s. Restaurants that want to charge me $5 or $6 extra because they don’t want to accommodate vegetarians are really misunderstanding how to treat customers. The manager’s response was to tell me that “YOU’RE JUST ANGRY”. I left this bad business and chose to eat at another crêperie down the road, which was excellent.

Tasteless, dry, overcooked! Cardboard buckwheat pancakes, ingredients (eggs, spinach, mushrooms) overcooked and dry! We asked for a sauce to be able to swallow this food, tasteless bechamel sauce! I took three bites and left everything. My husband made a big effort to eat half of it! The waitress didn’t tell us anything, nothing asked when she took our plates back! So service not attentive to needs! Disappointing!

We loved breakfast here and took full advantage of their amazing savoury crepes. My son got the crepe with sausages, onion, bacon and eggs served with maple syrup and loved it. I got the crepe with asparagus, mushrooms, Swiss cheese and eggs and it was fabulous. My husband settled on a traditional breakfast. Coffee was fabulous, including the specialty coffee ordered. Highly recommend.

We walked from the university to downtown for a Sunday breakfast. We were cold and hungry when we stopped at Cassie’s-Crepe Breton. There was no line up, we were immediately offered a window seat, amazing, we never get a window seat with out reservations. We ordered hot coffee and it arrived immediately. I ordered the buckwheat crepe. It was so good. Service was fast. No complaints. Unfortunately I recommended this restaurant to a family in town for a very short time. He said the food was delicious, but service was very slow, they waited almost an hour for their food. I was so disappointed for them. Our experience was the opposite. Oh well win some lose some.

Stopped by for dessert and we were not disappointed with the crepes! Spouse went with a vanilla cream/custard filling while I opted for a banana, strawberry and chocolate crepe. Exceeded our high expectations! Friendly service and comfortable atmosphere.

Worst meal (and we had great ones) in Quebec City. The crepes were barely edible. For high quality crepes away from the hordes of tourists, I would recommend Crêperie-bistro Le Billig, farther outside the wall at 481 Rue Saint-Jean.

There are several crepe and desert places in old Quebec to visit and Casse Crepe is not one of them. After an hour waiting for 5 simple desert crepes the quality of the crepe, fruit and sauce was not worth the wait. In short it was the worst crepe experience I have ever had. Spare yourself the disappointment. Ian

We waited until the last day (Monday) of our trip to eat here. I was excited because they have gluten-free crepes and they looked delicious. It took almost 90 minutes to get our food and they were not crazy busy. Both dishes were wrong and even when we got our incorrect order of food we still didn’t have flatware with which to eat it. By the time they corrected the dishes, we had waited almost two hours. Sadly, my buckwheat crepe was so tough, I could barely cut it and didn’t even eat it. I’ve had buckwheat crepes at other restaurants and they were soft and delicious. On the bright side, the OJ was delicious! Net=don’t bother. There are too many wonderful restaurants in Quebec.

Freshly prepared crepes in Old Quebec. The restaurant is on the smaller side so be prepared to wait during busy times. It is worth it. They offer both sweet and savoury crepes to satisfy any cravings. From Bechamel filled asparagus crepes to banana, chocolate creations, you are sure to find a favourite here. You can see you crepe being prepared for you. There are a lot of creperies in the city but consider this one you first stop. Staff is friendly, efficient and cordial.

I ordered a buckwheat crepe with blueberry filling. The waitress urged me to add something to it, saying that the filling is only a jam. Actually, the blueberry filling would have been sufficient, since the scoop of ice cream was put on top of the crepe. I watched the cook make my crepe, and he kept it on the hot plate quite a long time. Consequently, the crepe became dry and very tough to cut with a knife. I almost needed a chainsaw to cut it! Just kidding, of course, but crepes should not be so hard. Major disappointment!

Indulging in crêpes from various corners of the globe, our anticipation was high for this culinary adventure. However, our experience fell short of expectations. Despite ordering an array of five crêpes, we found them disappointingly undercooked and doughy, failing to capture the delicate texture we adore. My selection, adorned with a strawberry filling, left much to be desired, with a thickness and taste reminiscent of mass-produced varieties. Seeking an alternative, I received a replacement crêpe, yet it too failed to meet the mark, remaining undercooked. To add salt to the wound, the inclusion of the replacement on the bill felt unwarranted and left a bitter taste. Regrettably, our encounter leaves us unable to recommend this establishment.
