We told ourselves my husband and me next time we go again to Quebec City to repeat a visit to this restaurant after a great dinner we had last September at this restaurant and it didn’t disappoint us for sure! From the excellent service and...exceptional food, very creative and fantastically presented, you are there for a treat. We highly recommended this culinary experience. María BelwoodMore

I went to have dinner at Laurie Raphael the other night. I was disappointed. The menu was very limited especially for someone like me who is allergic to seafood. While some of the dishes were OK, my main course was simply awful. The cost is...not justified by either the quality and the quantity of what was served. Also my granddaughter ( 12 years old) had simple pasta instead of the standard menu and we were charged the same price.More

Laurie Raphael is located below the ramparts near the river in old Quebec. We enjoyed a set menu of courses that included delicious unique small dishes with wonderful flavor combinations. Duck, scallops, mushrooms, quail eggs and other ingredients came together to create an impressive meal....Wine pairings and non alcoholic pairings complemented the meal and were well thought out. Staff are enthusiastic and warm, keeping the pace of the evening moving perfectly. We enjoyed our experience here very much.More

Absolutely the best food we had in Quebec City. Creative entrees with unexpected combinations that were absolutely magic. Every course was a one surprise after another. Loved the service from the manager to the bus staff. Would love to go back!

Visited this restaurant on Nov 19, 2021 since it is very close to my hotel at Auberge St. Antoine. Tried their tasting menu and dishes were reflected their fine dining caliber well. Regretted not asking the server's name( a curvy beautiful young lady), she is...truly shining on both service and manner. I don't think she was my server, she wasn't the one who took my order, but she served me almost from beginning to end, kept filling up my hot water due to my upset stomach that day, made my whole night at Laurie Raphael very enjoyable! Thank you, MissMore

This was one of the best meals I have had. The chef is a food artist and should be recognized by Michelin (apparently there are no Michelin star restaurants in Canada). There is a choice between a menu, each course basically has two options, and...you get both, or you can pick one of the options. My wife and I did the selection version but selected different options. All were amazing. I am not a huge caviar fan but the flavors and textures of the amuse bouche were exquisitely complementary. The fois gras was presented with a nut and apple crumble, which was great. The tuna sashimi, with a variety of interesting nuanced flavors, was equally good. They made an egg foam dish with crunchy brioche that was light and airy. I have never seen an egg dish prepared like that. It was a light cloud of intense flavor. The next course was pork with an excellent brown sauce or codfish with a terrific light white creamy sauce. One dessert, the chocolate was outstanding, the other a seasonal pumpkin tart was good if you like pumpkin (I don’t), but the sweet glaze on top was quite good. Each dish was presented beautifully. It’s very pricey. But the service was superb and you felt like you got your money’s worth. Michelin pay attention.More

We went for the gastronomic experience... Nine courses in all and as we went through the dinner it went from the exquisite and sublime (apple and foie gras) to good (seafood chowder), poor (porchetta) and finished with some very indifferent desserts. We were placed at...a table by the exit door and with a full view of the rear of the bar; not the most conducive location. I lost count of the number of times the receptionist would enter briefly then leave, each time a gust of cold air would hit us. Towards the end of the meal, the pressure on the wait staff eased and service became slower and less assiduous; however the volume of noise from the staff chatting behind the bar increased proportionally! Yes some of the dishes served were quite outstanding but the overall experience for us was not satisfactory. The comparson to other top of the range restaurants is not good.More
