This place is absolutely wonderful! I loved how they set their wooden spoons on each table as they loved seeing their guests play along as they had their employees playing a violin and wooden spoons . I was told to put maple syrup in the...pea soup but I was already eating my pea soup before I realized that the container they used for their syrup wasn’t juice . So the water bottle is the actual maple syrup . Also if you have the little meat pies , make sure you drown it in maple syrup because it tastes sooo good . And don’t forget to get your warm maple syrup on a stick on the ice . Their maple syrup is actually great on EVERYTHING. It’s like that hot sauce saying ,” I put that $&@? on everything !!”More

Food was weird for a better choice of words, but the whole experience was amazing. They only serve one menu and that’s pea soup with pork crackling, fried potato, cooked ham, beets, meat pie, baked ham omelette, and pancakes and you are supposed to pour...maple syrup on everything. It’s different, but nice! Afterwards you get to make your own desert, when they pour maple syrup in ice and you make your own pop icicle.More

Of course, you can eat here, but we didn’t stop here for this. Frankly, I love honey, and consider maple syrup only as a substitute for it. But it was interesting for us to look at the entire production cycle of maple syrup.

Visited here with my wife while visiting eastern Canada and had an unexpected great time. The food was great and it was great value and they even had entertainment and people were even dancing. Great unexpected day out.

We stopped at Chez Dany on our way from Montreal to Quebec City. We were the first customers for lunch - just a bit early. The food was great and more than we could possibly eat! The only mistake we made was not pouring maple...syrup on everything. We only used it on the pancakes. Next time we'll make better use of the syrup! The staff was attentive and helpful. And a great gift shop too!More

Stopped here for lunch on the way to Quebec from Ottawa and it was worth it. The restaurant is lovely with lots of interesting pieces of furniture and chattels and very well laid out with a gift shop that you can go through on the...way out. The food was better than average and the whole group enjoyed it very much. The dessert of pancake with maple syrup is not to be missed!! There's entertainment and lots of fun for a party.More

Stopped here for a tour lunch break. First off a brief explanation of how maple syrup is produced & some interesting facts & figures. Then an All you can eat table served buffet. Pea soup was delicious. Honey ham , pork cripys, potato chips, omelette...were all very good. The minced pies were not to my taste. The pancakes with maple syrup were my favourite. Yummy !! Beers & “run maple syrup” port style drink were $6.00 each so quite reasonablely priced. A guy playing toe tapping French Cajun style music on a fiddle was fantastic!! Really got everyone going & the sounds he could produce on the giggle were amazing. It was really busy but the whole process runs like a well oiled machine. A tour bus arrives about every 15 minutes. Staff are very friendly & very efficient. It’s a meal stop production process, but doesn’t feel that way. Overall the whole experience was a really unexpectedly pleasant treat.More

The sugar shack is all things maple syrup. Food was delicious and most of it was gluten-free. Loved the pea soup and the maple glaze bacon. They need an alternative to fruit salad for dessert for us poor celiacs tho!! Stick a tub of ice...cream in the freezer guys! That aside well worth a visit.More
