We arrived at the restaurant in the early evening. When we arrived there was only one other table occupied. Soon ours was the only table occupied. While we were greeted promplty everything else was sooooo slooowww to the point of having to remind our waitress that we were ready to order. This was unfortunate since the food was actually very... After arriving at my son's house in Regina from Ontario, we decided to order in. After looking around for a few take out restaurants, we decided to try Smokin' Okies. There appeared to be a good selection of items and a wide variety of smoked items. I ordered the Catfish Sandwich and an order of Chili fries with a side... More

Service was prompt and friendly. Food is alright...nothing spectacular or special, but some good ol' BBQ eats.

Quick lunch stop just off of the Trans Canada highway. You can smell the smoked smell when you walk in, enjoyed beef brisket and pulled pork sandwiches. Baked beans had nice flavour, cole slaw wasn't bad. Skip the corn bread 0.60 each the size of mini muffins not much taste (I make better ones and I'm not a very good... More

I spent a month in Texas back in 2001, and this place brings back memories. The food is great, although it feels like there's less meat in the sandwiches than before. But whatever's on there is tender and juicy. I went with my favorite sandwich, the beef brisket, chopped. I had the traditional poutine, and was good too. They had... More

We found this one via google maps, close to our hotel, liquor service and kids welcome....however it is kinda fast foodish, which we didn't understand from the website. The menu online was accurate for choices and prices. It was very quiet when we were there - food was decently priced until you realized the usual things like side dishes, cost... More

The place is nice but I expected a little more. I asked for the Sliced Brisket and jalapeño poppers and the poppers were very good (4 pieces for 5.29) but the brisket was missing something (it was a little dry). The taste was OK but nothing really special. Actually I ended the meal hungry. I think that my dish was... More

We've been visiting this BBQ (as opposed to grilled food that we generally call BBQ here in Canada) restaurant since it was just a food truck. This is Oklahoma style BBQ. Slow roasted/smoked pulled pork and beef brisket. I also enjoy the catfish- yes its taste is different from ocean fish- and hush puppies. It may be the only place... More

We had heard about this place and sampled some of the food at a trade show. We were excited to try it out at the restaurant, but what a disappointment! The $42 sample plate was 60% inedible! The manager argued with us when we tried to talk to him about it. What a very strange approach to working with customers.... More

I had heard about this place for some time, and thought we'd give it a try. The poutine was close to $8, so here I thought it must be AMAZING. Wow, what a disappointment. A small plate, one measly layer of what tasted like old fries, and topped with a fake powdered gravy and a few cheese curds. Seriously? You... More
