Best Indian Cuisine in town. We ordered the dinner special for 2 for our family of four and it was enough food. Everything was terrific but the Tandoori chicken was outstanding. Service was great and restaurant decor is pleasing.
To start off, I am not a curry fan but Caraway has converted me. I really love their coconut prawn curry. After having terrible butter chicken at other Indian restaurants (ex. India House... horrible butter chicken) I never wanted to eat butter chicken again but...I thought I would give it a try at Caraway and it was so delicious. The naan bread is fresh and tasty. I love their saffron rice as well. Their take-out portions are huge. When it's a group of us we get the dinner for 4. I think it's a great value for what you get. No one has ever left hungry and we generally have leftovers for the next day and it tastes good reheated the day after too! The pakora is crispy and spicy. My favourite appetizer is the tiger shrimp. It's a spicy flavour bomb! I also like their tandoori chicken, it's cooked perfectly.
The service has been fantastic every time we go. Our drinks are always refilled promptly and the staff always check in to see how we're doing. They are so friendly!
The restaurant itself is small but cozy and the decor is lovely.
I feel like the negative reviews on here have to be from competing restaurants because I have eaten at Caraway SO many times and have never had bad food or a bad experience. (I mean the really bad reviews. I can't believe even on an off-day it's as bad as some people wrote in their reviews). This is in my top 2 favourite restaurants in the city and is my favourite Indian food restaurant by a LANDSLIDE.More
The food here is to die for. We ordered butter chicken, plain naan and rice. Server was attentive, filling water glasses regularly and our wine. The food was spiced perfectly. This is the best restaurant for Indian food. The butter chicken was seasoned perfectly. Will...be bk.More
My expectations were a little low. Saskatchewan and great Indian cuisine don’t necessarily go hand-in-hand. However, there were no complaints amongst our table of 6. Food and service were surprisingly wonderful.
While driving through SK, this was a highly recommended dinner spot. And it did not disappoint! Excellent accommodation of gluten and dairy free dietary requirements. Take out portions were HUGE. Professional and courteous staff. Pakoras were unlike any we’ve had before - like Indian French...fries! Would definitely go again.More
WHAT A GEM. My boyfriend and I absolutely love this please. We try to go stop there whenever we pass through Regina. Best service, so clean, friendly people and amazing food. Would recommend the Madras chicken, and the dinner for two with the wine is...awesome. The portions are pretty big and we usually take the leftovers home. Often they give free appies as well which is so kind. Overall, nothing but good things to say about this place. We eat a lot of Asian food and this place has delicious food.
They deserve a lot of credit. Love it!More
The food quality was great and the atmosphere is relaxing. However, finding the place can be quite confusing since this is the first time I visited this authentic Indian restaurant which offers a variety of Indian cuisine from vegetarian to meat lovers ( spicy lamb...was in the list of recommendations). The price is a bit pricey but it's worth it since the servings are reasonable. The restroom is clean and impressive in compliance with public health guidance on COVID. Will definitely come back if I am thinking of Indian food in this capital city of Saskatchewan, CanadaMore
We used to enjoy dining here but with our recent experience, we would rather eat somewhere else.
After me and my wife paid and got out of the door, the same person who received our payment ran after my wife and told her that she...did not pay for her bill. Made my wife felt humiliated.
Like seriously, that staff was obviously not paying attention to her job.
She did not even apologize for her mistake and instead told us “Oh yesterday there were people who did not pay for their meals and left without us knowing.”
Honestly, if you do your job right, things like that will not happen.
Also their lunch special is not as good as before(smaller portion&options)
There is a lot more other Indian food places in the city that are more worthy of our money.
There is no option for 0 for the rating, 1 is really a generous score.More
