Food was fresh, flavours vibrant and portions generous. Great view of the Bess makes you feel like you’re in Europe from the patio.

This is such a cool place in Saskatoon, and I cannot wait to go back. The beer, food and service was outstanding. The Guacamole and Chips were amazing. Best guacamole I have had. The perogies were very, very good, and were not something I would...normally I order, but glad we did. The wing sauces were amazing and very unique. Thank you to Shasta for her great service!More
It’s becoming increasingly difficult to find a decent meal in downtown Saskatoon. I stay here on business regularly at the Marriott over the road. Came here for evening meal and ordered Pizza. Topping was OK but all of the bread part apart from the crust...was just soggy and quite unpleasant. Overall very average Pizza but decent IPA beer and service was fine.More
The place is rather large with outside and inside dining with nice decorations. The waitress was very nice, friendly, and efficient. The food was pretty good. Seems like a good hang out place. There were some concerts across the street and the Cathedral Social Hall...was packed with folks (presumably eating dinner) before and after the concerts.More
We were fairly early for dinner so it wasn't busy so I can't comment how the service would be when they are packed. Waitress was enthusiastic and told us about happy hour and how to bring up the menu with the QR code. She visited...the table the appropriate amount of times to see how we were doing. Greek riblets as an appetizer were very good..perhaps a little bit too lemony. Had the Poke bowl and chicken fingers. Were both excellent. Wonderful beer selection and was nice and cold. Well done!!More
Went with a friend, not busy time. The server was friendly. Outdoor sitting. I ate fish tacos that go really well with the beer. Fun place to go with a friend.
We are from out of town came here with my husband and son for an afternoon drink and snack (yam fries) our server was amazing we had no idea what things were we asked she wasn't annoyed and showed interest for every questions. I'm also...a manager of a restaurant and she was over the top great to us . Never an empty drink and we are very happy leaving and going to tell people to come here anytime. Keep up the good work. BOH and FOH awesome job 👏More
Travelling through and stopped overnight in Saskatoon, so searched through reviews looking for a casual beer and something supper. Cathedral SH sounded like it fit the bill, and it did. Not overly crowded when we arrived, so had our choice of seating. Service was pretty...good, not outstanding or over the top, but got the job done quickly and efficiently. They had 30 beer on tap, mostly craft beer from western Canada, and including Sask and Saskatoon options. Typical gastropub menu with nothing really screaming for attention. We picked a couple of standard items, and the food came quickly, and was nicely presented, attractive and really very good. A good stop - good beer and good food.More
We were staying across the street at the Delta so popped in here for dinner. Love the decor and bar. Our choice to sit inside at a high table but we could have easily sat out on their patio which was nicely lit up with...strings of lights. Shared a meal of prairie pirogies, Caesar salad and chicken wings all of which were delicious. Served quickly and hot and fresh. Our great waitress Avery made our evening complete.More
Waitress Naomi Ross was horrible to my wife, Rude. Grumpy and mouthy. Demanded I tip more and rolled her eyes at us when she messed up our order
Such a great vibe here. Fantastic location near the river and historic downtown. Amazing selection of local beer. Cool seating. Delicious food. We were also super impressed with our waitress. Pleasant, fun and helped us figure out exactly what we would love to try
Went for the happy hour, had a lovely server named Kali, she was working the long shift with staffing, anyways we ordered a couple Saskatchewan’s on tap & the pepperoni pizza , both were top notch, with a helpful, nice server as well, highly recommend!...Also pretty great people watching on the outdoor patio lolMore
Went on a family staycation at the Sheraton hotel which is next door so decided to try Cathedral Social Hall. We were impressed with both the food and service. We arrived late afternoon so enjoyed a snack during happy hour. The perogies were delicious (so...good our daughter and I went back so she could get them again the next day), and my husband enjoyed his poutine too. The mini doughnuts were only so-so as they were quite heavy and not quite cooked all the way through (the waitress apologized but didn’t offer to get us more fully cooked ones) but otherwise it was great. Nice selection of beer on tap and we enjoyed getting a flight which allowed us to select 4 of their many options to sip on which we very much enjoyed. On our first visit we sat inside and enjoyed the air conditioning as it was a very hot day, and it was comfortable and pleasant. It was quiet inside at the time with only a few tables being sat but we agreed it would most likely be very loud if busy. Just something for us to consider if we’re looking for a quieter place to dine. The next evening my daughter and I returned for her second order of perogies and a drink and enjoyed sitting outside on their patio which was lovely. Service was even better on our return visit. Prices were reasonable, restaurant was clean, and service was good. Would recommend!More
This place is awesome! Great food, portions, staff and atmosphere! We tried many different dishes and enjoyed them all. We happened upon happy hour. Recommend the Dill Kettle Chips with Ranch dressing. So good! We also shared the Happy Hour Prairie Perogies, Greek riblets, Hall...white wine, and the Thia chili chicken bowl.More
Maybe I’m being especially hard on Cathedral because I disliked the Freehouse, which was in that location before but to me they are essentially the same. The house wine was cheap and terrible....our server wouldn’t even tell me what it was. The service was not...the best. There’s something to be said when a person is presenting themselves well, they present the establishment well also. But this girl looked like she just crawled out of bed and threw on the first dirty baggy jeans and hoodie she found with dirty old runners......and she definitely left her friendliness and smile at home. At this point we chose to move on in finding a place to eat. There are far too many good choices in Saskatoon to be going back here.More
