This place is awesome! Great food, portions, staff and atmosphere! We tried many different dishes and enjoyed them all. We happened upon happy hour. Recommend the Dill Kettle Chips with Ranch dressing. So good! We also shared the Happy Hour Prairie Perogies, Greek riblets, Hall...white wine, and the Thia chili chicken bowl.More

Maybe I’m being especially hard on Cathedral because I disliked the Freehouse, which was in that location before but to me they are essentially the same. The house wine was cheap and terrible....our server wouldn’t even tell me what it was. The service was not...the best. There’s something to be said when a person is presenting themselves well, they present the establishment well also. But this girl looked like she just crawled out of bed and threw on the first dirty baggy jeans and hoodie she found with dirty old runners......and she definitely left her friendliness and smile at home. At this point we chose to move on in finding a place to eat. There are far too many good choices in Saskatoon to be going back here.More

Drove by while looking for a different place that wasn't open and found a good spot for dinner. They have a really nice patio and my husband and I enjoyed our nachos and fish and chips.

Our last night in Saskatoon, we decided to give the Cathedral a try. We were not disappointed. It was a Tuesday night. We decided to go on the Patio because the weather was great but wouls have also taken a table inside. Nice atmosphere. We...had to wait a couple od minutes because the staff disinfected and sanatized the tables twice. I have no problem waiting for my safety. The service was quick and good. We decided to order a bucket of Corona and the Nachos. We were not overly hungry, just in snack mood. The bucket of beer ( 5 bottles) was $27 and the Nachos were $ 16. I have to admit I love Nachos and was not disappointed. Not too big, not too small, exactly right size. Good quality Nachos and not a messu eat. Great! The paperless menu is fantastic and I like this idea. Loved to sit outside and seeing some antique cars driving by. Even tough it is on a main street, it was neither loud nor too busy. If I come back to Saskatoon, I will come back. Thank you!More

I had the pad thai bowl with prawns and I subbed the noodles with rice. The food was just average nothing special at all. Now the service it was absolutely brutal. The bartender brought me my first drink and menu then there was nothing for...20 minutes. Finally the waitress asked for my order and even though my drink was empty did not bother to ask if I wanted another one. I ended up flagging down the bartender to get another. Place was not busy maybe 4 or 5 tables except for one table of 14 or 15 and all focus was on them. I watch as the other tables were get the same service as I was. Also watched as the what I assume was the manager or owner stand by the bar and chit chat and not help the sever at all.More

Better service than in Freehouse. Newly renovated at the prime location and the outdoor sitting in summer this place is great for a friends company and live music. Very nice pub, good atmosphere and beer selection. Canadian and American food.

Went for lunch with my wife. I had the butter chicken with rice and my wife had the Taco bowl. The service was very fast and the waitress was very attentive, even though, the restaurant was understaffed at the time. I'll definitely be back. They...have a HUGE list of both traditional and micro brewery beers as well! Well worth the trip to try them out.More

Nice helpful staff each time I stopped in. They'll chat about the day, the city, movies, beer - it is a nice welcome change from some establishments. The beer selection was good, quite a few local crafts as well as some from further away and...out of province. I'd recommend stopping in for a bite and a nice craft beer.More

My husband and I walked over to this place from our hotel and really enjoyed it. It was a Sunday and we wanted to watch football.....American football and they had it on! The service was awesome.....it was a little slow because it was Sunday afternoon,...but it was really nice. The food was good and apps as well. Just a fun bar/restaurant atmosphere. We want to give a shout out to Chris and Patrick, the bartenders and the servers. They were all very friendly and helpful with the menu items. Thanks to all. Hope we are in your city again.....we will stop in!🙂🙂More

Cathedral Social Hall is in a great location down by the river and has a varied food menu and a nice selection of craft beers and other drinks. The décor is typical higher-end pub style and they have a decent size patio, which we couldn’t...use since it was raining. I was craving nachos and the menu stated that theirs were made with aged cheddar cheese, for which I was excited. I’m currently living in Mexico, where aged cheddar is hard to come by and when you can find it, it is expensive. I ordered the nachos and a lentil beer (meh) and my husband ordered chicken fingers with fries and gravy. Our server was super friendly, we got our drinks right away, and our food not long after. Except for the gravy. Anyway, while we were waiting for our server to return we started eating and I knew immediately that the cheddar was not aged. My excitement waned and I ended up eating my very average nachos. Perhaps I would have said something had the server come back, but we waited at least twenty minutes for her return. My husband eventually got his gravy to go with his then lukewarm fries. The chicken fingers were tasty and the sour cream for my nachos did have lime added, which gave it a fresh flavor that I enjoyed. When we were finished we asked for the bill, but that took a while to arrive as well and the restaurant wasn’t even busy. Overall, it was fine, but it certainly wasn’t a meal to remember and with all of the great restaurants in Saskatoon, there would be no reason to return to this one.More
