After a long day of driving we booked into the Hotel Bessborough in downtown Saskatoon on a quiet Sunday evening. We wandered around looking for a spot for dinner and were pleased with our choice of Taverna Italian Kitchen and Bar. The hostess and wait...More

Oh how nice to go to a pasta restaurant where they actually make their own pasta dishes and not reheat sauce and noodles. They make their own noodles - that’s the way it should be. We were here on a busy night and enjoyed a...More

This is a gem! The scallop dish and tomato salad was simply outstanding! When in the toon, it’s a must. The main dish, lasagna, was also good. Just do it... can’t wait to revisit. Only one comment, at times the server seemed distracted and disconnected...More

Was thrilled with the recommendation to eat at Taverana. The fennel sausage tortellini was to die for! Tony brought it out for us as he knew we would like it. Maybe we didn't see it on the menu on the first pass? We had meatballs...More

First of all the decor is stuck in a time warp. The benches were so dirty and it smelt musty. The food was extremely overcooked- the pasta was like mush. From one plate of mush to the next...The food was way too salty. Italian food...More

This restaurant has been around for years. It has been updated. They have added doors at sidewalk to open up to outdoor patio. Nice atmosphere. Good Italian food
