Whenever I am in Saskatoon I migrate to the Boomtown Cafe at the Western Development Museum. This 1910 setting with pressed tin ceiling and period furnishings ads to the enjoyment of great cafe food. Nothing fancy and not a huge menu but a breakfast any day of the week is great. Check out their cinnamon buns. I Always like their... More

We did not realize this cafe was not part of the exhibit until we walked in! The food is average in price but the good is good and honest. People beside us had the ribs and it was a full rack! We just had soup and sandwich which was well priced and tasty

We were in town for a family function and found this breakfast spot through Trip Advisor. The reviews did not disappoint. Our kids said the bacon and eggs breakfast was just like we make them at home, and the price was very reasonable. We would definitely return next time we visit Saskatoon.

If you want a hearty breakfast that doesn't hurt the pocketbook then this is your place! I like the breakfast special with 2 eggs, toast, sausage and hashbrowns. My kids get the kids pancake. Huge pancake with Saskatoon berries and whipped cream for $2.00! My husband thinks the omelette is one of the best he's ever seen.

This restaurant is reminiscent of small town Saskatchewan. It has a tin roof ceiling and old fashion dining tables, chairs and booths. The food is ordered cafeteria style but can be delivered to your table. Have eaten here several times and the food is always good. Service is great too, except during the Festival of Trees. The girls were rushed... More

We have stopped in here a few times with our little one. Antique look gives that fun rustic feel. Food was pretty good and other then the cafeteria-type line, the food felt like a trip to grandma's :)

See my attraction review for Western Development Museum. The meals vary throughout the week and are prepared by knowledgeable staff who take pride in local cuisine.

After touring the museum, we ate at the neat cafeteria style cafe with reasonable prices. Soup was good but the Saskatoon pie was out of this world. We went back three more times during our visit to Saskatoon just for that delicious pie. What a blast from the past and good home cooking.

Good soup and it is nice to sit around in boomtown. The pie is also particularly good. Some of the other food could be a little better.

A group of seniors on an outing (I was one of the chaperones), with a booking for 12noon . We arrived only to find out that they had been expecting us at 11am. Who eats lunch at 11am? In short, mediocre food. The bowl of soup had about the full weeks quantity of salt in it for the average adult.... More
