After reading the many positive reviews about this place my husband and I decided to check it out. I love finding small local restaurants to support. Was eager to try some unique cuisine. We arrived around 7 pm. The place was empty. Our waitress was nice. Brought menus and water (husband ordered tea) and made suggestions what to order as... More

Seriously, I wasn't expecting much but the food at Saba's is worth the time it takes to arrive after ordering. Check it out.

Decided to try sabas on a whim. Friendly staff and had a small town feel to it. Have not had African cuisine before. Found it delicious and unique with many vegetarian options. Appreciated the cook coming out and talking to us about the meal. Highly recommend if you want to try something different and sick of chain restaurants. The decor... More

Hidden treasure. We tried supper here on day. We had no clue about this type of food, but the owner is a very friendly man who helped us out. The food was very good. I will return again.

Had a vegetarian friend visiting and we were looking to go somewhere different that would give him options. We choose Saba's, as we had wanted to go, but just hadn't gotten around to it. When we walked up the open sign wasn't on, but the door was open and when we walked in we were greated by the friendly owners.... More

I enjoyed this unusual restaurant right in the middle of Saskatoon. The decor is simple with objects from their African heritage. You feel like you have been invited into their home. It is a family run business with the casualness and peacefulness that I need when I go out. Mom cooks, dad and daughter take your order and help you... More

It was my first time visiting an african food place had no idea what to order and had just asked her to make me the best and she came out with this awesome plate of food that was very delicious. The Family that runs it makes you feel very welcome and are very hard working would defiantly visit again!

This was my first visit to an African restaurant. The place itself is a very basic family restaurant. The food is delicious and very reasonable. The owners are very hospitable and friendly, and will create special plates for you if requested! I will definitely return there on my next visit to Saskatoon.

I am always looking for a truly unique dining experience and this is right up there. I felt compelled to write a review after seeing the last one that spoke of poor service and kids running around. This is not a 5 start hotel or formal dining room folks. This is a relaxed family run restaurant with a low budget... More
