Food was delicious, staff were exceptionally friendly and answered any questions about the menu. Great experience and great staff, highly recommended
The service was excellent and quick. The food was tasty. I had a lovely stew at lunchtime called Feijoada (Brazilian) which has beef and black beans and rice on the side. It was delicious.
Had the Feijoada (black bean and pork stew) came out fast it was delicious and service was friendly what more could you ask for? Will definitely be back.
We visited for their Sunday brunch. I really love the selections from different places. The friendly service fits the atmosphere and the food was delicious! Wonderful experiencing this variety in Whitehorse.
We had a wonderful dinner at this simple, bistro-style restaurant with a varied and different-from-everyday menu. Focus is on Caribbean food, with splashes of Asian influence. Friendly service, welcoming atmosphere, and reasonable prices in this era of runaway food / service inflation. It was hard...to pick from an extensive menu, but we chose the arctic char pasta and the lobster. Both excellent and nicely presented. The fish was perfectly done and the cream sauce on the pasta was the best I have had! Shared stout (beer)-based ice cream with salty pretzels for dessert. Mmmm!More

I was not sure what to expect as I read the former owners who were from the Caribbean had left. Further, it is a large menu with so many different types of cuisines, I thought this might be a jack of all trades, master of...none. I was pleasantly surprised. The food did not disappoint and it appears the standards have been kept up by the new owners. I had the lentil soup. It was light, well spiced, on the edge of being salty, but not, and simply delicious. Wonderful way to start a meal. The highlight was a dish from the ABC islands, a Wild Board Keshi Yena. I have never had the dish before, so no baseline, but what I tasted was outstanding. It was beautifully seasoned and cheesy. It was served with a bake (fried dumpling for some). I ordered another bake because they were so good and a West Indian would be satisfied with them. For dessert, I had a home made lime ice cream. Not sweet, a bit of salt, and real lime flavour. I had a decent cocktail, but I can't remember what it was. Prices are reasonable for quality and portion size of food. While the service was friendly, it was a bit slow. There was a warning indicating they were short staffed and requesting patience. I found it to be a bit dusty and a tad dingy. There was a dead bug on a menu. My dining companion informed that the toilets were not overly desirably. That is the only reason this does not get a 5/5 and gets a 3/5 in ambience. It appears that tour groups frequent here, which makes sense because it is a relatively large restaurant. If large groups are present, this generally slows down service. It is generally advertised as a Caribbean, specifically West Indian restaurant, but it is not. While there is good old school Latin music, there was not one song played from the West Indies. I think they need to rebrand it as a global fare or international restaurant, because it is definitely not even predominantly West Indian or even Caribbean. location is very food, close to (basically in) the heart of downtown Yukon. Close to most major hotels. I would go back as the food was excellent. Overall: Food 5/5 Value 5/5 Service 4/5 Ambience - 3/5More

The food in this restaurant is far above what we had expected to find in a city like Whitehorse. The affable chef/ owner is extremely talented and the vast variety of dishes and flavours is impressive. We started with the scallop appetizer. The scallops were...perfectly cooked and the unusual creamy sauce was delicious. We had the oxtail stew which was mildly spicy and also delicious. The portion sizes were just right, not too large. The chef invited me to try the crab cakes. These were slightly crunchy and the sauce which I think was Caribbean-inspired was outstanding. This was my favourite and should not be missed. I also tried the Bitterbahlen, elk meatballs. This was my only disappointment. The meatballs were dry and bland. Game meat is very lean and needs other ingredients to make it more interesting. The chef said that there might have been a lapse in their preparation that night. Overall this was an extremely satisfying meal. The restaurant itself has a shabby chic character which seemed entirely appropriate for Whitehorse.More
