Our tour stopped here for lunch. We had a fixed meal. I had a large turkey leg and potatoes. Very well cooked. The meat fell off of the bones. Nice dessert too.

I'm glad my partner was dealing with the waiter because he was speaking French too fast for me to follow. My beefsteak was slightly overcooked and on the tough side. My partner's "vegetarian" dish seemed to be whatever vegetables they had in the kitchen, without any thought about how to put them together. This is a typical French small town Hotel, we stay here on our way back to Calais. The food is simple but good and the staff very friendly. When the weather is good you can eat out side and watch the world go by.

We had been biking all day and I wanted Steak and fries! There are two steaks on the menu, separated by 10 Euros! So, I asked the waiter what kind of steak it was (it was simply called beefsteak on the menu). He said it was beefsteak. I said OK - what kind of beefsteak - top sirloin, New York, round, chuck ... what? He said it was BEEFSTEAK. But what kind? BEEFSTEAK he said. He said further that he had worked in restaurants in England, Greece ... all around the world and BEEFSTEAK was BEEFSTEAK!

I had also ordered the salmon carpaccio as an appetizer. It was simply awful. The cook (he/she can not be a chef) simply roughly chopped some raw salmon and put it on the plate with a few green on the side. It was disgusting. review will start with service since what is what you will notice first, very professional but comfortable, sat on deck out front, covered for shade or rain - and you might get both in same day here. really enjoyed the biere from micro brasserie next door - tried one that had blue berry in it - and it was better than expected. we kept it light with a tapas plate and a few drinks - not a cheap option, but best available, and we would be back.
