We stopped for lunch on our way to Alba from Switzerland , 8 adults in our party. The restaurant is nice and cozy . Nice hosts, the lady sommelier the best in explaining wines and giving us advice and informations on foods and surrounding. Food excellent and not expensive . General hospitality from the owner and the other host was... More

Our family dined here yesterday and we loved it! The atmosphere is traditional and we felt like we were in the home of the family who run the place with father and son doing their utmost to make us feel welcome. The antipasti with meat and cheese from the region was very tasty and the primi - ravioli with meat... More

We had lunch here and took two courses. The food is local and really good. We have prosecco and wine. They only serve local wine, and it was really good. The staff speak English really fine and will tell you about the good and wine

I had marked Gattinara as the place to stop for lunch on the way from Malpensa airport to Aosta Valley. Mainly because I knew that it is famous for the wine making. We selected La Brioska because of the reviews it had received here and we were not dissapointed. Lunch was excellent. I had the best vitello tonnato there. Regional... More

Stumbled upon the restaurant after visiting Le Piane winery in Boca (world class wines!!). Cozy welcoming atmosphere. Authentic friendly and attentive service. Great food. And as expected, very good wine. Very accommodating for our teenage vegetarian. The dessert was so good my wife and kids ate it before I got to try it... Do yourself a favor and find this... More

If you are looking for an insight into local wine products this is the place to go! Knowledge and service were excellent. The owner was very friendly and welcoming. I was introduced to a variety of wines and spent my whole afternoon there. The treatment was kind and full of passion. It was more than I hoped for! Ottima scelta!!

Go. Eat local food. Pair it with local Nebbiolo wine (ask the waiter!). Eat there for lunch, or for dinner. Worth it!

Pietro, and his father are both in the front of the house, while Pietro's wife and mother are in the kitchen. I mention this because it seems that everyone is right where they should be - my dining experience was warm (with many thanks to Pietro for his very fine English), the service quite good, and the meals that came... Description
Osteria La Brioska was Established in 2007 in an ancient courtyard in the middle of Gattinara by the cook Giuseppina Baruffi with the aim to offer a typical wine and food experience. That's why almost everything is produced in Gattinara: from the worldwide famous wine to the raw materials used following the traditional recipes. In Gattinara's dialect the name Brioska means "place where you can temporary sell wine and food" and origins from an ancient tradition of the town.La Brioska is a warm "family-run business" managed by Giuseppina and her husband Celestino, their son Pietro and his wife Rosanna. From 2011 La Brioska is recommended by several gastronomical guidebooks, among which the most important is Osterie d'Italia by Slow Food.
