Great little restaurant nicely air conditioned with simple décor. Very good menu with lots of choices for both local wine and food. Simple but great service from the Chef and his partner. We had the 35 E meal which we to much for us. My...wife's entre of seafood was a meal in its self. I had a steak with an excellent Rock forte source. Very much worth a return visit but would go for the al la carte option.More

One of the best places (if not the best) I've eaten in France and one of the less expensive ones. The chef's talent shows in every dish, and the service is very attentive and friendly (untypical French, I should say). Just two samples that stood...out: feuillete aux champignons that accompanied my salmon and creme brule with 3 different flavors for dessert, a wonderful bouquet.More

Great food, great wine, great welcome. Arrived late, didn't expect anything special but we really were amazed. Every course was delicious, the wine was superb and we were made to feel so welcome. If you are in the area, just go there!

This restaurant is amazing. The place is small, but so cozy. The food is very good, I tried some tortellini, fish and meat. I had a dinner with my 5 years old children and the restaurant owner prepared dedicated food for them that appreciated a...lot. The owners are a husband (chef) and his wife (waitress) are very kind. I strongly suggest this place if you're visiting Camargue region.More

We arrived in Vauvert around 9 pm and were starving, but it appears that this town shuts down relatively early. The first spot we stopped was Le Fiacre and were greeted by the kind waitress. She guided us to a table and provided us with...a wine list and our menus. Speaking very little French, and her speaking very little English, we were able to practice both languages a bit while reading the menu options. Our wine was absolutely spectacular. We went with a bottle of 2012 Chateau Beaubois, and it was fantastic. Our meals arrived, and we could not have been happier with our selections. Everything was fresh, warm, and the chef clearly has a passion for food. The price was more than reasonable for the quality and quantity of food, and the service was probably the best we received anywhere on our trip. I would highly recommend Le Fiacre.More

I had arrived in Vauvert whilst I was walking the Arles Way pilgrim route and wasn't happy. It had been a fiercely hot day and I had an awful blister on one of my feet and I wanted a really good dinner. Not in the...mood to wander too far from my hotel I was limping along when I saw one of those useful signs they put up in French towns and it pointed to Le Fiacre so off I went. Arriving at the restaurant there was a door open across the pavement and as I passed it the woman, who I had not seen on the other side of the door, nearly jumped out of her skin. I asked where the entrance of the restaurant was and she pointed me to another door just where I was standing so I went in. Where I was met by the same lady who had walked in her door! The restaurant was empty but looked very nice so I chose a table and sat down to have a look at the menu over a pastis. It was a good menu with a sensible range of choices and in the end I chose foie gras terrine followed by sole meuniere and a trio of creme brulees to finish. I wanted a half bottle of white wine to go with this and there were two I fancied on the list; I asked for a bit more information about them and they offered to open one of each for me to taste and choose either, I felt this was too much to ask so chose one of them and it worked out to be an excellent choice. The food was excellent from start to finish and there was no rush to get me through the courses and out of the door. In fairness it was a quiet night anyway and I had plenty of time for conversation with the owner which is always nice. She also pointed out that the restaurant is listed in Gault & Millau this year which does not surprise me. A coffee and more conversation before I left and although it was more expensive than I would usually choose I was aware of the prices before I went in and it was good value for the money. It is most unlikely that I will ever find myself back in Vauvert which is a pity as I would certainly look forward to another meal at Le Fiacre.More
