It was a Sunday and we had no choice other than "menu degustazione" - antipasto mix, primo, secondo and dolce. We wanted just to eat but 3 hours??? It is too much even for Sundays's Piedmont. Anyway it was a good local food and reasonable prices.

This restaurant is definitely the locals' place in Diano d'Alba, and with good reason. Food is good and plentiful; the prices are fair, and the service is good. Not fancy. Extensive local wine list. We ate there twice, and the place was very busy both nights.

This simple restaurant and bar serves great food in big portions for very good prices. The service was quick and very friendly. The wine was also great. All the dishes we had were great (risotto, pasta, tripe, steak). Well worth a visit.

Food served directly out of big platters. I must say it was really good especially since we got a full menu for 24 euros. Good wine, great coffee and very good service considering that it was packed. A bit too crowded for a romantic setting but for a family reunion or a bunch of friends it's the perfect place.

We came in at truffle season and had battuta, tajarin and egg - all with 16gr of truffle. Awesome! Especially the tajarin!

And that was a very good decision We tried the 24 € degustation menu, 9 courses excellent local food, from antipasti to dolci. The food is served directly out of the pans and the amount... More

Local restuarant that is popular with the locals. Good prices with a pre set menue. The service is good, especilly when the chef comes out with fresh pasta from the pan.

Not the high cuisine Piedmont is renowned for. Dinner served from large plates, in large quantities. No good wine list, no elaborate dishes.

The magic of the food here is in its respect for the regional dishes and for the simplicity of the cuisine. Only the best ingredients make it to the plate, served with a great selection of the wonderful wines from the immediate area. Every dish was a winner, from the ravioli al plin to the tajarin and other Piemontese specialties.

Although Diano d'Alba is close to Alba and not far from popular places such as La Morra, it seems rather untouched by tourism, and the restaurant offers authentic local food of excellent quality. We tried the €24 degustation menu which offers 8 courses of antipasti-primi-secondi-dolce and is to be recommended if you have a bit of time. Very attentive and... More
