Fabulous cafe in a small town. Can see why New Plymouth folk make the trip to here for a coffee catch-up. Great coffee, excellent service and nothing to much trouble for me when wanting an iced coffee with soy. Highly recommended to stop if you're on Surf Highway 45

Visiting friends sister and had got takeaway coffees the day before Coffee was good and good smelt yummy so made an effort to return for late breakfast on Sunday. Looked packed outside but heaps of room upstairs if agile enough as quite steep. Noted mixed reviews and know from experience that what one person likes isn't necessarily what you will... More

We were very disappointed with our experience as had been told it was really good. We made a special trip to have lunch here and would not bother again. They have tried to make the decor a mix of vintage and quirky but it doesn't quite make it. The menu is very average nothing special at all. When the food... More

Have stopped in here 4 times in the last 6 months & are always impressed with the quality of the food & coffee & majority of the staff. BUT.... one server (female) has each time been so rude which puts a damper on the visit. She brings the meals to the table, rudely snaps what they are & then plonks... More

Visited with family. Loved the look of the building - bright, new, fresh, airy, spacious with a kids play area outside. Had coffees first and ordered food later. Easily the best coffee we'd had for days which was a really good surprise! Eggs Benedict with salmon was delicious, and the toasted sandwiches were tasty too - no complaints about the... More

A quiet run along the picturesque SH43 brings you to a small town with a big heart and a fab cafe restaurant bar. We stopped in for dinner on the way back to New Plymouth and enjoyed a very well prepared meal and great service! The rack of lamb was perfectly cooked and the pork chops my family ordered were... Popped in on the way to New Plymouth for brunch and we had a great meal! Plates filled to the brim with yummy goodness, awesome coffee and a great smoothie! Sat outside in the sun and thoroughly enjoyed everything about our time here! Highly recommend taking the time to fit a visit in on your way past!

Called in desperately in need of a coffee. We were so impressed we stayed, had coffee, chose a slice from the display and were so impressed then had a meal. Staff were friendly without being overpowering. A wonderful find.

I stopped by for a late lunch. Although the kitchen was closed, there were several dishes, sandwiches and desserts available. I had a very nice lasagna, capped by lemon cheesecake and a flat white. The restaurant has two levels with cozy comfortable seating. There is also a bar. Service is excellent.
