I had my first and (unfortunately) last experience at this restaurant this afternoon. Our waitresses "K,O & V" were extremely sweet, attentive, and polite, never too far but never too close. The food was divine. I've been in Antigua for the past two years, and sincerely regret the fact that I just discovered this place. All in all, 1000% recommended. Food/Drinks - 1000% percent recommend Service - 1000% Ambiance - 1000% I took few photos of some of our dishes, as we were too busy eating them.

Returning to Antigua after an 18 month break, Cecilia’s had to be a “must-do” and both visits were outstanding. We were travelling with friends on the first visit to the island. I said great things about Cecilia’s and they were not disappointed. We received the usual warm welcome and on both visits enjoyed a range of dishes including the lobster salad, terrine, beef, pork, lobster risotto and tuna. Without exception, all were superb. With a chill out on the pontoon pre and post the meal, you will need to go a long way to beat the food and ambience of this great restaurant.

I was here tonight and the food was fantastic. The drinks were spot on- not overly sweet, not watered down. The staff is extremely friendly and the whole place has a wonderful, relaxing vibe despite being so busy. I had the gravlax with potato pancake, blackened snapper with rice and pineapple salsa, and the bread pudding (which has an amazing rum caramel sauce). This is my first time in Antigua, but I will recommend Cecilia’s to everyone I know when they visit.

Lovely location on the beach and delicious food with the typical wonderful Antiguan approach to hospitality from our host. We had Wahoo carpaccio (so delicious) and then snapper and pork curry, all washed down with some sumptuous rose and a few rum punches as wall as a large local 10 year old rum to finish. Would definitely go again on our next trip to Antigua. Highly recommended whether you are in a Group or just a couple. Thanks Cecilia!

We had our final meal on island here... a leisurely lunch before heading to the airport. The scenery is stunning and the ambiance is super charming, as is the service from the staff and the interaction with Cecilia herself. We loved the old fashioned rum punch. My sister and I both ordered the salad with shrimp and cucumber. It was light and refreshing. My bro-in-law loved his snapper. My husband really enjoyed his double app lunch... wahoo crude and smoked salmon with potato cakes. Check their schedule as it is unique, but you'll be happy if you find a time fits!

Came here for a treat during our 'inclusive ' holiday. The food was excellent, I had the Mahi Mahi and my husband had the veal. So perfect we returned today for Sunday lunch. The shrimp and avocado salad was gorgeous as was the gravalax; followed by tuna cooked exactly as I asked (my preference is rare) and my husband is still drooling after his Swedish hash (actually fillet steak cut up). Well worth the drive - and don't be put off from proximity to the airport, the setting is as romantic as you can get!

This is a special place. Arguably our best dining experience while visiting Antigua. Food is terrific but the setting and ambience of the restaurant is why it stands apart. Located on the ocean and surrounded by gardens in a tropical setting. While dining on the porch, the views of the sea at sunset and after dark were amazing. The atmosphere is both elegant but laid back. Bohemian chic as another reviewer describes. It certainly provided for a romantic dining experience. Owner Cecilia is quite a character and was very welcoming. It felt like we were a guest in her home. We could sense the personal care that goes into running this restaurant and she seemed truly interested that all diners were having a good experience.

You walk into a beautiful eclectic victorian feeling masterpiece of a home right on a private and lovely beach. The porch (where you eat) is magnificently done and the menu is extensive. The owner greeted each table and was warm and welcoming and the servers were professional and helpful. Had a delicious salad of fried eggplant, mozzarella and tomatoes w/feta and for the main course had curry pork tenderloin! It makes for a special evening!

Lovely restaurant with beautiful views. Our food was delicious and we were happy to dine at the famous Cecilia's High Point Cafe. Initial arrival was a bit marred as we were told tables with the nicest views were already reserved but we could sit anywhere else; however, as other groups arrived she told them to just sit anywhere? Our waitress was especially sweet and provided wonderful service.

We were returning to Canada from a stay at Saint Kitts, and this involved an early morning flight to Antigua and a six hour layover. The prospect of sitting in a heavily air conditioned airport terminal for that long, with only 15 minutes of free internet seemed utterly unappealing. So a quick google search of “thing to do in Antigua for five hours” yielded a hit – Cecilia’s highpoint café. Alright then, we landed at 9:30, completed the immigration formalities, and then grabbed a 5$ taxi for a quick ride to Cecilia’s. We knew that the café (and it really is actually not a café – more about that later) did not open until 10:30, and we had just planned to wait outside like a hungry pack of wolves, but there was a snag with the taxi driver who did not have any change for a twenty dollar bill. So after various failed efforts to make this work, our driver connected with the proprietor of Cecilia’s and not only did we end up with some smaller bills, we were invited into the café before it formally opened, and were offered cappuccinos (one point). When we inquired about eating lunch (which is served at noon as one can imagine), we were asked if we were “on the list” – damn, they have a list and we were not on it, and we had forgotten that it was Valentine’s day which does not help in such matters. But there was no need to fret, the owner (a very friendly Swedish lady) worked it all out for us (one point), and even offered us towels in case we wanted to go swimming (one point) – you see, Cecilia’s is located right at the water in an absolutely stunning setting (one point). Instead of getting wet, we opted for a bottle of sparkling wine while we waited on the beach deck for lunch hour to arrive. In the meantime, staff was getting the lunch tables ready, and this is where I shall return to the term “café” – it is not café, it is a fine dining restaurant with a gorgeous covered outdoor patio. It serves an eclectic blend of Caribbean and Scandinavian dishes which are listed on a large chalk board, which I take to mean that the menu changes frequently. And every single bite was outstanding – from the wahoo carpaccio, to the gravlax, mushroom ravioli, blackened snapper and mahi-mahi (one point), and this was accompanied by excellent service (now we are up to six points, and five is the maximum….)! Just amazing. So, whether you are staying on Antigua and want a really special meal, or you need to kill some time during a layover – Cecilia’s is an excellent option. In either case, I would suggest making sure that one is “on the list” and keep in mind that Cecilia’s is not open every day. What a winner!

My sister,my partner and and I spent a lovely evening at Cecilias recently. The owner is a delight, she has lovely waitstaff and the food was delicious. We had very fresh clams, both in vongole and as a starter, a lobster sauce with pasta, and very tasty blackened snapper. All washed down with a really good pinot, we were very happy! The piece de resistance was her chocolat fondant dessert. Very nice evening, we will return again before we leave. It takes a bit of finding but our gps did the trick. I highly recommend.

After a Covid enforced break, it was great to get back to Antigua and also visit Cecilia’s. As always, Cecilia was in great form and it really is a great location to relax and enjoy great food, We had Burrata and beef and wahoo carpaccio to start, followed by snapper and lobster - all were lovely. The hardest part is choosing g from such a tempting menu!!! Great to be back!!!

We were recommended Cecilia's by our Airbnb hosts... The location is good with views over the bay and lots of lovely details brought in by someone who obviously really cares about her creation. Cecilia's attention to detail is impressive and creates a very welcoming ambience. The menu is interesting and the food has been carefully thought about. For our tastes the fish dishes were over-cooked but with hindsight we probably should have let them know that we like fish to be still moist and for it to melt in the mouth rather than be chewy and on the dry side. Perhaps paying these kind of prices we felt that should not have been necessary. Still can't quite work out why so many things in the Caribbean are so expensive though ..... not just here but everywhere. Having said that, most pricing here felt fair for Caribbean rates except for the desserts which we felt did not justify the 38EC dollar price tag no matter how much rum was included in the sauce. We translated our bill into euros and thought .... how much for that dessert? We might well return for lots of reasons - just with slight reservations.

We heard great things about this restaurant, so we made a reservation for Friday March 29, 2024 , but unfortunately one of family members became ill as we ready to leave , our reservation was for 6:30 when we got a call at 6:15 from the restaurant insulting us and wanting a CANCELLATION FEE and didn’t even let us explain what was happening and hung up the phone !! Who ever she was, she was so rude and that is terrible customer service !! Wish we could have experienced the greatness of this restaurant but after the rudeness we encountered over the phone we will not be visiting this restaurant ever !!

Always a Top Choice We heard about Cecilias back when Cecilia Nord first opened this gem. We typically dine here twice each holiday and look forward to returning. This restaurant has it all: great waterfront location, incredible view, fantastic cuisine and a sophisticated hostess/ owner who goes out of her way to make certain your visit is everything you can hope for on a Caribbean island.
