Called in for lunch after visiting local gardens, looks v elegant from the outside and a little off putting but there is an informal bar and garden, v friendly bar staff, they have 4 menus for lunch, we ate a chicken wrap and mozzarella flatbread, v tasty and huge portions, v drinkable local beer. The only negatives were that there... More

We stayed one night at his pub/hotel and enjoyed the experience. The staff are friendly and helpful... it has a comfortable feel and is slightly 'shabby chic'.... although some areas could benefit from upgrading. The food is good and presented with care and much of the produce is locally sourced.

A most unusual establishment with a different menu of modest portions. Food and service was good, wine a little expensive.

We visited on a Wednesday evening. We had booked a table in the restaurant. The pub is beautifully renovated, light and airey and it was pleasantly busy giving a good atmosphere. Good choice of beers and wine and nice looking menu. I had the sea bass which was very good. Staff were friendly and efficient. I would return again.

We had dinner here one evening in the bar part of the restaurant. Fish and chips were great, batter on the fish was really crispy and well cooked, just how it should be. The puddings were delicious, choice was so good, it was hard to,choose. The staff were lovely and friendly and the atmosphere was buzzy and nice. Very relaxed... More

Never judge a book by it's cover. That is the mistake we made last Saturday. The Milk House looks lovely on the outside but that was where our lunch experience ended. Yes it was a Saturday lunchtime - we expected it to be busy ( it has some great reviews ) and we expected to eat in the bar area.... More

We enjoyed a great Sunday lunch here. Service was friendly and attentive. The Milk House has a stylish and relaxed ambience and tables are well spaced. The food was delicious - we both had a lentil soup as starter, which had a real depth of flavour. My chargrilled chicken was perfectly cooked and beautifully presented, with a lovely balance of...
