This is a restaurant worthy of being among the best in any big city. All of us (2 adults and 2 kids) were very very surprised by the level of service and the pairing of food. One of the best experience in Spain since we...arrived!More
Loarre is a good break stop on the pilgrim path out of Huesca and Bolea and, for most, a staging point over the sierra. After a look at the impressive castle, known to those who watch crusader movies as it was the set for Kingdom...of Heaven, I walked on to Loarre village where I checked in to a casa rural. When I was last there, the only restaurants were in the Hospederia or up the hills at a camping site. A young German chef has set up shot at the Casa O'Caminero and provides quality food and service. I had a three-course set lunch with wine (and digestif) for 18euro, starting off with a hearty bean stew and then roast chicken with local vegetables. Dessert was a home-made fruit tart, and some local cherries and figs were put on the table to help me with a shot of the local firewater. The chef came around to see how the clients were faring. English is spoken, and he seems to enjoy his work and seeing his customers appreciate their food.More
A super place to stop. One of the best welcomes.
Good coffee and snacks.
I would think highly sought after during the busy period.
Great care is taken by the owner to ensure you get the best experience.
Good range of beers.
Very friendly staff with a good selection of generous raciones. Seating outside and in. Squid and sausage very good and our child enjoyed a very fresh pizza. Also offers a daily menu but unavailable at the time of our visit - a shame.
Had a 3-course diner here for 2 adults and our 5-yr old boy. At under 19 euro per adult incl. water and wine, this was really good. We like our food and especially the friendly service. Our boy also liked his 3-course child menu. Locals...come here to celebrate family parties and enjoy a good time. The owner/chef is a young german fellow who works hard and loves what he does. He comes talk to his guests.More
