Great restaurants are few are far between in the Hautes Pyrenees...If you like to experience accomplished cooking, beautifully presented food. L'Embrun is a must place to visit and worth journeying to..

We stopped here enroute to Bayonne and had a very nice experience. The service was fine. All four of us had the plat de jour which was beef cooked in a wok. Pasta accompanied the beef. Dessert was chocolate cake. All of lunch was excellent.

This is our third visit to this restaurant, and as always, we thoroughly enjoyed our lunch! The dining room is modern and yet very intimate, with screens to separate here and there, sober but elegant decor. We've always felt welcome, the staff is helpful and friendly. The lunchtime menu at €16 for 3 courses is excellent value for money. The... More

On our way to Sare, we got off the motorway for lunch, and happened on this beautiful very modern restaurant. Our server was delightful, explaining the formulae du jour well enough for us to understand. We started with a regional red wine, Les Hauts de Bergelle, wonderful with the noodles and beef plat. The starter entree was salad and egg... More

We popped into this L'embrun on the off chance that they would do something meat-free for me. They were very happy to oblige and we were given a couple of choices. The three course set lunch is 16 euros and the house wine is 9 Euros a bottle. The food is fresh, tasty and well presented. The staff were pleasant... More

Called on chance and even though the 3 or 2 course lunch is set we had a non meat eater with us and they did a fish entrée and main for her at the same price 16€. Every thing was well presented and tasty, very welcoming and clean. House wine was fine, all very good.

We ended up here as there was nowhere else open in nearby Lannemezan this Thursday night. It's on the way out of town and looks rather like someone's house. The entrance feels like a hotel lobby. Inside it's fine however - you can sit inside or out. The waitress was charming and helpful. The food is really very good. The... More

The lunch menu is excellent, good service beautifully presented food with a pleasant ambience. Three separate visits have provided good food on all occasions. Good value set menu and reasonably priced house wine . Recommended for a more intimate and elegant dining experience.
