We went into the crown on good friday evening after a drive up from Lincoln for a weekend with friends at their Cottage. We arrived way before them, so decided to pop out for a bite to eat. I would say for a few drinks,...More

Finished the 3 peaks and headed here with our friends and dog, as our last visit around five years ago was very positive. It was immediately made very clear dogs were not allowed and if water was required for the dog a bottle of water...More

In the last 5 years the amount of dogs being brought on walks as more than trebbled. It was with deep regret we had to take the decision not to allow dogs anymore in to our premises. Only being a small pub we hadn't the...More

Popped in after a walk on the Peaks. 4 of us dying for a beer but on asking for a draught beers. No electricity. Maybe not the pubs fault but I can only score low because as a good will gesture & to keep us...More

We arrived at our B&B quite late, but the pub accommodated us for a late dinner after a quick phone call from our landlord to the publican. We enjoyed the food so much that we came back the next day for lunch. Enough said?

Staff were really friendly, the food was hot and tasty. We had chips which were yummy. The decoration of the bar was quirky with stuffed animals and not to my taste, could do with updating. The loos looked new and the only modern part of...More

We called in for a beer on the way between the station and the campsite. The place is completely unwelcoming, with numerous signs saying what is not allowed. Bar staff were fairly unhelpful when other customers asked whether they could have the wifi password. In...More

As pubs go this isn't sparking but as a village pub it's probably excellent. Didn't try the food but food selection of drinks and friendly staff

I popped in on a winter's Friday evening for supper. My first visit here. Friendly, welcoming and fairly enquiring hosts received my trade. The dinning area was fairly spartan, but this did not bother me. A nice cosy fire was burning away as I placed...More
