Have had many meaderys before but tonight's was terrible. Chips were over cooked, and the ribs were all so tiny with barely any meat on. Complete waste of £15!!!

Ages since I went there but I didn't know which mead to try and had a taster but finally settled on cherry, I think, and had to wait a little while for seating but had a little booth in the end that suited us fine. Had chicken in the rough with salad and went to the salad bar a few... More

We took our daughter, son in law and two young grandchildren here and they loved it. The atmosphere is fantastic and the food is consistently good. The staff are so lovely and friendly and it is a great place to take a family. A must on a visit to Cornwall.

Whenever we visit family in Mousehole it is always a treat & a highlight if we go to 'The Meadery'. The food is always the same - thus being consistently good. The atmosphere is great and very different from other eateries (dimly lit, no cutlery and eating with your hands which our boys absolutely love!) so it makes for a... More

The chicken was cooked to perfection. Crispy skin moist meat. Squid bites were fab. The other half loved it and so too did me old dear. Nice cider to wash down....Couldn't fit dessert... More

Visited here for a birthday celebration. The restaurant is very dark, we need a torch to see the menu. The staff were friendly, the food was good but it seems to be limited to shades of beige. You can't book a table so you need to queue when it opens up. The local blackberry mead was nice but very strong.

Visited the Meadery last week as a big and local party of 16. I ordered a small prawn meal but was told quite late on they had no prawns so asked to swap it for scampi! 2 of the party's meals were served about 10 mins later without any explanation or apology.. I then went to pay for my meal... More

Me and the family have visited newlyn meadery every Christmas Eve since I was a child. Great atmosphere and by far the best meadery in the area! Food is yummy and the large salad bar gives plenty of choice for people looking for a greener side to their fried chicken.
