Deary me. From overwhelmed and surly staff, via shockingly duff roast potatoes (quote “they’re fresh - cooked this morning!”), to the customer service apocalypse that is the landlady, this was an epic disappointment. Having eaten here three times and had brilliant food every time, and...More

We only got as far as asking for a table - it may have beeen getting close to last food orders but the staff could have been more pleasant. Very rude attitude!

It’s all about the food - delicious, every time we come and the menu changes continually. We live the relaxed pub vibe, don’t change anything. Thank you

Enjoyed the food. Service was good .booking is recommended as this place is always busy. It is also good for a drink if you want to sit outside.

My wife and I have now eaten at many restaurants around the Devon & Cornwall coast and this has been the most expensive meal and close to the worst meal because of the perceived value. We were not the only guests to encounter poor service...More

This was our 45th wedding anniversary so we wanted something special. We weren’t made to feel very welcome on arrival, being told where our table was, not shown to it. A jug of lukewarm water arrived with a couple of plain glasses and we were...More

Another return visit successfully executed Great local fish dishes and live jazz (on a Sunday) make this a great place to enjoy the best Cornwall has to offer from the sea. Thanks again Team Tolcarne

Yes. We visited in February for lunch. It's quite a traditional unpretentious pub and as good for a pint as a meal. Imagine it's much busier this time of year but our dog was very welcome anywhere in the bar area.
