Quite informal, I'd say smart casual. We even saw a guy in shorts, sandals and t-shirt - but that was downright disrespectful to both the restaurant and other guests.

agree - won't be a problem. It's not as if they are wanting to pack the tables with covers, they will want to know exactly how many people are coming on the day, well in advance, that's all.

Azurmendi is a restaurant where emotions multiply. Each corner, detail and service reflects the personality and philosophy of Eneko Atxa. 2017 Elite Traveller best restaurant in the world Azurmendi restaurant is the best example of signature cuisine in Biscay and the only restaurant in the province with 3 Michelin stars. It was built into a hillside surrounded by autochthonous vineyards. Eneko´s home, as he calls the restaurant, was conceived and built with sustainability, the foundation of his philosophy, in mind. Azurmendi is possibly one of the most unique sustainable buildings of modern architecture. It reflects the canons of the Basque identity and integrates photovoltaic solar panels and a geothermic system to produce electricity, harvests rainwater to cover a number of operations among other features. For all these, Azurmendi*** was granted the Sustainable Restaurant Award 2014.
