We went to Sandbar back in 2012 or 2013 before it was Ruby's, when Helen was still the owner. It needed some fixing up, and the bar barely had any alcohol (she had to make a run to Oxxo to get more one night when we drank her out of beer)...but it was a fun atmosphere and her personality made... Ruby's Sandbar doesn't exist anymore. Hurricane Odile blew it away. It doesn't look like anyone is going to fix it up anytime soon.

Well all that is left standing now is the big Mango tree surrounded by the destroyed palapa after the Hurricane Odile. I don't think Ruby's will be open anytime soon!

Stopped here with the fam after trying to go to Jungle Pescadero which was closed, and I'm glad we did! I had a blue cheese / fried onion burger and it was great! My two daughters each ordered a plate of spaghetti and the portions were HUGE! They could have shared one plate and STILL had leftovers! Service was excellent... More

They are getting ready to close for the late summer break, we had a great salad and sliders, fish , burger and sausage sliders, and a side a side Caesars salad , the sliders were fantastic, they are closing for September, which is normal in this area, I would put this on your to do list this fall and winter

A, not so hidden, gem located right off the freeway just outside of Cerritos Beach. By far the best burgers and fries we have ever had! Canadian owned and so welcoming!! We came 2 nights in a row and would come back again if we were here longer. Free wifi is a plus down here too! Look for the 'small'... More

This place is just what Pescadero needs- salads & veggies! You see all of these fresh ingredients along the road and now you can get them on your plate. Did I mention that the portions are huge? My husband and I will be sharing our pasta for breakfast. Thank you Ruby's team for awesome food, drink and atmosphere. We will... More

We missed the local jam night , the bartender Tim is professional and the portion sizes are large ask the local surfers about the chicken Parmigiana . Palapa style atmosphere is nice.

What a unique bar, centered around a huge try and sand on the ground. I ate here twice this trip, the first time I had a great Cesar Salad, with chicken, huge portions size. They also make a mean burger. I would recommend that you make this a must do stop on your next trip.
