I love this pub a lot, I come here regularly and get on with the staff very well. They are very friendly people and welcoming. I also love the food here and honestly couldn't fault much. Oh and they are dog friendly which is great!

Special deal for two having steak. Choice of meat, beef, gammon, lamb, fish. We chose beef, sirloin with delicious Stilton based sauce. It was a delicious medium rare sirloin steak with garlic new potatoes and baked tomato and mushroom. I have not had a better...More

This pub was built in 1926 so it misses the charm of an Olde Worlde c17th/c18th village pub and the 'pizzazz' of a modern one. Its high ceilings and an air of dark dinginess pervades its atmosphere which seems to beg not merely a Spring...More

Thank you for your comments. We are working on updating the decor but, as we are a tenancy, it takes time (as it costs us a lot of money). We have updated the toilets and the TV room and spent a lot of money on...More

I like this pub, it's a good local serving better-than-normal pub food. Unfortunately, my partner doesn't enjoy the fact that it's very dog-friendly, in that, they are everywhere! For a pub serving such good food it is something that tends to clash for some people....More

Went here for acoustic night on Sunday evening. Saw Matt O'Neil play live. Good singer and good songs. If music was a little quieter then would be perfect because then would be able to chat more freely whilst listening to music. Friendly staff and nice...More

Surprisingly, our party of three chose the same dishes for lunch although sampled different desserts. It was all good, delicious and hot. Virtually a standard lunch of scampi with triple dipped chips and mushy peas, chosen so they would stick to my knife! For dessert,...More

I had suggested this venue to have dinner with friends on Saturday night as it is not far from where we all live. We had starters, main courses and 2 desserts. Starters were nice, tasty and copious. We, then, had sirloin and rump which was...More

Our local pub shut for refurbishment so we got a taxi to the farmer inn. We didn't eat but the menu and the food looked amazing! Loved the look of the pub was just perfect! It got really busy in the evening - popular place!
